Gravity X coming soon. Rivian off-roading competitor

It looks like it's much more than that, the styling on the exterior side (that we initially thought was the dashboard lol) with the Pebble Beach label looks very different than what the regular Gravity looks like in the same area.So just new Gravity wheels and roof rack meh
Sign me up! How much is the deposit to reserve one?Oh man what if it’s a Shai Hulud? A Giant sand worm that eats all competition, tested in the desert of Saudi Arabia. Maximum off road capabilities.
Eh. The whole X thing is so Elon these days. I would not have gone there myself. It looks like it's much more than that, the styling on the exterior side (that we initially thought was the dashboard lol) with the Pebble Beach label looks very different than what the regular Gravity looks like in the same area.
Also, GravityX is a badass name, I love it!
Interesting, if that turns out to be the case. But maybe its pronounced, Gravity Cross.
Like AutoX or RallyX, Autocross or Rallycross.
$1000 deposit, an interminable wait, and you have to give back all your key fobs.Sign me up! How much is the deposit to reserve one?
I see what you did there.I can guarantee there will be a future ad of Timothee chalamet driving this vehicle through the dunes.
Portals? What does that mean in the context of a car?Gravity Outback?
Hopefully it has portals, 40s, and central tire inflation.
If you want your axles high up against the chassis rather than in line with the centers of your wheels, you use portals (gearboxes to change the direction of torque) near the wheels. It gives you more center ground clearance without gigantic wheels.Portals? What does that mean in the context of a car?
It's a gearbox in the hub that adds ground clearance (and usually has a reduction gear to increase torque for larger tires).Portals? What does that mean in the context of a car?
Some small touches like skid plates to protect what is otherwise plastic/composite might be nice. I'm curious because I'm thinking this might hint at what's to come for one of the Midsize models.I don't actually expect them to improve off-road performance in any way other than all-terrain crossover tires (like the Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail./)
