Unfortunate. Lucid announced "18K to 20K" vehicles, down from 20K. Also missed Revenue and Income numbers. It's only a quarter, but it's not great results. Stock down another 7% after market.

They are being limited by production issues. Not acceptable.

Surprised it wasn't lower tbh with all the challenges with ramping up Gravity.

Quick question for you guys who own Lucids and own Lucid stock. Do you feel over committed to Lucid? I mean, if Lucid fails as a company, you are going to have an "orphan" car, plus a big monetary loss on the stock. I love my AGT, and have thought about taking a flyer on the stock, but it seems like I would have too much invested in Lucid. Thoughts?

If you believe in the technology (the car); I don't see why you will be worried about owning a piece of it. Now if you don't believe in the technology; I will suggest you stay away. I truly believe; Lucid will succeed as a company, but there is always risk in investment so it's up to you in the end to judge how much risk you're willing to take.

I guess I see it as other car companies have been in similar situations and you can keep buying and servicing their cars....https://driving.ca/features/feature-story/these-4-car-companies-kept-going-bankrupt-over-and-over

Once you get enough vehicles and service footprint out it usually can be kept alive by merging and consolidation.

If you can't get magnets, you can't make motors. This particular headline problem wasn't foreseeable.

They’ve adjusted their guidance to give room for not meeting the 20k they expected. 20k is still on the table. No magnets, no motors. No optics? No HUD. It’s unfortunate but they are still pushing towards the 20k number. Don’t count that number out just yet.

Hopefully they’ll seriously ramp up Gravity production in Q3-Q4. AC compressor parts communization is interesting (Gravity and 2026 Air share an AC compressor) excited for what comes next!

Ok, I guess my investment philosophy is geared more toward mitigation of risk. Of course, I'm ancient, so that may have something to do with it 😂

Via Investor call: Their "supply of magnets" constrained production. This problem "has been solved" and will not constrain production in second half of the year.

I based mine on some guidelines about how much of your net worth and assets should be tied up in Automotive related things, whether it's your primary daily driver, hobby sports collector car or Auto stocks.

There are some things in life you can just always count on. Milestones that pass by and mark time with Swiss precision.

Like every quarter, when Lucid misses their guidance.

And then the raft of people who come here to pontificate about how the company is doomed and probably won't make it.

Lucid's actual future may be uncertain. But this little ritual you can set your watch to.

Thanks, and see you all next quarter…

Once I bought the car for over 80K I decided I might as well take a 20K flyer on stock….. assuming they get all the models of the gravity rolling, and the midsize shows up sometime by 2027 or so, the market should get a lot more comfortable with the company. The dream scenario is the stock going up by 5X or more once Lucid is established—then it pays for my next vehicle!

And while I don’t have vast resources, the fact is that at my age, I’d be fine if that 20K evaporated. I don’t expect to Lucid to disappear, though I really know what scenarios might encourage the Saudis to take it private….

Remember when Lucid said 250k vehicles delivered in 2026……they would probably reach a 10th of that.

I think one of the worst case scenarios, Saudis might spin off Lucid middle east and do IPO to raise cash since they have everything in Saudi including a head office and manufacturing plant

there are a lot of options for Lucid to raise cash and going under is not one of them

Saudi have the cash, do they don’t need to spin this off. I’m sure they want to keep Lucud “ American”

I just bought a used 2023 Lucid Air Pure. It drives better than the S, Y and 3 and many other EVs that I have test-driven. I like it so much that I made a small investment in its stock. As more people give it a try, I think they will discover how good Lucid Air is compared to other EVs.
