Isn't there a post somewhere buried here about a forum member that was in Saudi and found top executives driving Chevrolets. When he asked his Saudi host why, the answer was: GM air-conditioning.

Decades ago, I remember seeing stock GM Frigidaire compressors bolted onto Rolls-Royce Royce Silver Shadow engines at the factory. I asked the rep why. He said: our goal is the finest automobile possible - sometimes it is with RR parts, and sometimes not.
