The struggle to sell Lucid is no mystery when one looks at the number of studios east of the Mississippi. As a resident of Lexington KY, it is a 6 hour drive to the studio in Chicago and even longer to DC (8 hours) and Dallas (13 hours). Two years ago, I test drove a Lucid in Chicago while in town for business. Despite this nice introduction, there is no way I could convince the wife to travel 6 hours for a brief test drive.
With the low roof line, it can be difficult for older adults to enter and exit the vehicle. For this reason, it would be life-threatening to order a Lucid without allowing the wife to get in and out of the passenger seat.
