Lucid Gravity GT 2026
Wish list for a rapid software update: Geofencing!!, Texting receive and readout and hold to reply, CarPlay, Map routing by voice by street name and city instead of choosing a list of numbers and having to check the small print of addresses on the list. One idea for improvement would be when the trunk is opened, the car will rise to its highest level to eliminate or reduce the amount of head bonking into the trunk open door when walking around it. When it closes car goes back to normal height. Would like to hear back from Lucid on schedule of these items now that the new 3.4.1 has fix many bugs. Would like customer comments. Lucid Gravity Grand Touring.

I'd like to see Vibes split into Day/Dusk and Night modes, as the most decorative choices are too bright for driving at full night, and the best mode for full night isn't bright enough to show well during even dusk, let alone during the day.

I'd also like there to be a way for the user to power-cycle the Internet Connectivity module from within the Pilot Panel ([excuse the off terminology] because it doesn't get power-cycled during a reset). I've been without Sirius XM and functional navigation for more than a fortnight because my SC is slammed (even mobile service couldn't offer an appointment before this month, from my trying to get one mid-last month), and I understand that Lucid doesn't want customers pulling wires, so giving us the ability to reboot it in software would be a great way to both minimize our inconvenience and protect us from ourselves.

I second the motions about CarPlay/Trunk opening (already smacked my head on it once), and possibly the text readout (less important to me, but I have seen the utility in my wife's AMG).

I am still overall loving my GGT.

...Once I figure out how to edit my profile, I'll change the Odyssey to a GGT, which I now no longer have and now have, respectively

One more very important improvement that is necessary: the follow distance is maximum 4 car lengths. It must be increased to 1 through 7 same as Tesla. Seven car lengths is a safe following distance at speeds over 65 to 75 mph. Please make this change!

Improved app experience including notifications when trunk/frunk/doors/windows left open. As mentioned before, ability to drive car with app only (with or without phone as key), improved infotainment options, including ability to use rear screen for infotainment. Of course, continued improvements in dream drive.

When the right clearview cockpit is in Home mode, use the extreme right hand triangle (which is otherwise empty in the Home mode) to display a larger analog clock and outside temp. The one on the top is too small for me to see easily.

I like that!
BTW, Temp has been wrong for me since the day I took delivery. Anyone else experiencing that? It normally shows between 15 and 20 degrees more than the actual temperature.

While they are at it, improve accuracy of the temp display. Currently it is never within 10-15 degrees actual outside temps.

The raising of the car during trunk opening has to be a switch, not always. Lift height would raise, which would make it harder for my wife to get a suitcase up and over the rear load floor. And, God forbid, I would have to load the car!

Give us ability to change how car auto locks upon moving. Would like to have ability to have car not lock until you go above 5 mph. I typically park the Gravity tight to right side of garage (to give more room between it and other car in middle). This makes it a little difficult for right side passengers to get in while in garage, so I typically pull back out of garage and then wife gets in. But I quite often forget to hit the unlock button and she has to bang on window or yell “unlock the dam car!!!”

I'd really like Apple Music integration. Since they're working with Apple on CarPlay and PAAK seems like a no-brainer to add it in.

Agreed

Improve driver profiles so they remember more of the screens and settings you used last and keep them set that way for the next drive. It does some of that but there's some glaring places where it doesn't:

1. Keep CREEP/HOLD where we left it. If you like CREEP, you have to change it back it every frickin drive.
2. Keep map view the same as we left it. It also resets to default view every time.
3. Keep SXM on the last screen we used (which is usually Favorites).

Also, change the steering wheel audio SEEK buttons to change the CHANNEL on SXM, not the track.

Fix/improve the car's internal data signal. Audio (SXM in my case) is frequently going out from lost internet connection. If Lucid offered an option for an actual integrated SXM antenna, I'd get it in a heartbeat instead of relying on this flaky internal data connectivity.

They need to give all owner the free option of satellite SXM instead of streaming. We paid enough, we should get satellite!

I don't mind paying for the antenna (we do on any other car, it's just part of the purchase price). But it is disappointing that this high end luxury car doesn't even offer it. Our Porsche Macan EV has it, as do most others. (And I mean an antenna integrated into the Lucid audio system, not something stuck under the dash like it's 2003.)

I get that things are moving toward an all internet world. And that would be OK if the car had dependable, continuous internet service. But it doesn't. The audio frequently cutting in and out is the opposite of a premium experience. It's embarrassing.

This is a very US centric complaint. Satellite radio is largely a North American thing, it’s not a global standard, & outside the US it’s either unavailable, rarely used, or outright irrelevant. Designing and certifying dedicated satellite hardware, antennas, licensing, and long-term support for a shrinking, region locked service is not a trivial or free decision, especially for a low volume global automaker like Lucid at the moment.

Luxury in 2025 isn’t defined by clinging to legacy broadcast tech, it’s defined by software, sound quality, streaming flexibility & integration. The real issue you’re describing isn’t “no satellite radio,” it’s cellular reliability. That’s a carrier coverage problem, not an antenna on the roof problem.

Plenty of premium brands are moving away from satellite entirely for this exact reason. Expecting every automaker to prioritize a declining, US only service because one market is used to it isn’t realistic or particularly future focused.

It's like DirecTV going digital

SXM is not "free" if you use an antenna. Still need a subscription. Rivian and Tesla also only offer streaming options. But with Tesla and Rivian you have to pay for the cellular internet as well. Lucid has never charged me for the cellular service to my Air.

That's why I said it would be OK if the car had dependable, continuous internet service. But it doesn't. And it not looking like it's a carrier coverage issue. It looks like it's a car equipment issue. A coverage issue around the city is a usually a 20 second drop-out. This is going out for 10, 20, 30 minutes. Something's wrong, and it's not just me that's reporting it. It's happening fairly widespread based on reports (Gravity and Air).

That doesn't mean there's not also carrier dead zones. We hit them every time we drive thru the CO mountains and UT desert to Las Vegas, and then up thru NV to Reno, and then on to... well, you get the point. There's gonna be dead zones on long distance routes thru more remote areas.

I really don't care whether cell service may or may not be better in France or Norway. The US is their most major market. Their home market. Every car has some differences for different markets. I bet it costs a helluva lot more to build left-handed drive for the UK market than it does to offer an SXM antenna so US buyers can get dependable audio in their $100k luxury car. It's simply a worse audio experience than it is in cars 1/4 the price (since actually getting the audio is the biggest part).
