Lucid Gravity Grand Touring - upcoming test drive - what to look for?

Thanks will look into activating it :)
Bring a Dragy and check the 1/4 mile time
😅not needed. I drive on German autobahn and can go full speed once the road is clear.
One thing to note is that while the Air is fully capable of charging at Tesla SC's, it maxes out only at 50kW, whereas the Gravity can go all the way up to 400+. If you're using CCS charging stations, the Air can pull 300+, FYI. Just don't want you to be surprised/alarmed. FWIW, the Gravity has been a phenomenal roadtripper for me, having done 800+ mile (each way) and the ability to use any and all fast chargers at high charging speeds makes it a breeze. You'll also get better mileage (and starting range) in an Air as its smaller and more aerodynamic, which is covered in numerous threads on here. For reference, we have both an Air GT and Gravity GT, and love them both. Enjoy the test drive!
Thanks for the hint. I have read it on the forum. Usually I go for ionity chargers which are 350 or 400 chargers. So should not be a problem

I am green with envy 🤣. I wish the US had an autobahn. Of course, we’d have to train everyone that slower traffic should keep right, not to pass on the right, and stop being a road boulder in the left lane.

😂we have those sometimes too in Germany..
But I am really looking forward going 270km/h don't he Autobahn on the weekend 🥰

What a pity.. my test drive has been canceled just now. Apparanently they do have a show opening on Saturday in Belgium and need the air for it.
On 2.6 they will get a 2nd Lucid Gravity and then I might be able to get a new appointment for a longer test drive with the gravity then. (the car I actually wanted to have anyway).
However, I was really looking forward to the Lucid Air GT to drive for the weekend... kinda sad

So new try :)
I will pickup the gravity touring 5 seater ,unfortunately the grand touring 7 seater is still been used for a a new store opening in Belgium until 19.06.2026.
So I will drive the touring from 16.06-18.06.2026
Less milage and charging curve not that good.
I got an appointment and will drive around 1200km during the two days.

Let's see if 3.5.7 has been installed by then. Maybe even the new software 3.6 which has been promised soon 😅. And how I like driving it. It should not be such a difference compared to the grand touring except for mileage and charging speed or what do you guys think?

This is almost two weeks from now. I'd assume that 3.5.7 would definitely be installed and the car may even have 3.6.0 (depends on how the rollout goes and if Lucid needs to pause things and apply a new build of the software)

3.5.7 does nothing noticable with regard to features, etc., it is just a prep for the upcoming 3.6. Also, being that you are in Europe, which has different ADAS regulations, one of the main features of 3.6, Hands Free highway ADAS, may not be opened for Euro cars at this time.

Yeah that can be true :) we will see. Looking forward to the test drive nevertheless :)

So I just received my Lucid Gravity Touring (base model), unfortunately, they did not have the GGT ready... or the touring with more extras...
The first drive about 60km was ok, fun to play with etc. However the efficiency was not so "great".
Dynamic Range is not much.. 217 miles (350km) with 100% charge...

Also AC charging is strange I must say.. because it had 56% SoC, and i plugged in it went to 19kW, however, now it is down to 15,2 kW... Our outlet/wallbox cannot be the reason because it is 160a and the wallbox can give 22kw (2 x 22kw next to each other)...

So is the car limiting it self even for AC charging?!

The car limits AC charging to 80A, so it won't go above that.

Regarding dynamic range, just be mindful that it depends heavily on driving style, weather conditions, elevation, etc. When I'm tooling around town/local highways, I tend to zip around pretty quickly and not worry about efficiency at all given that my home charger is close. My GGT will say I only have 300 miles or so at 100% when the dynamic range is just adjusting for my recent city driving (2.6-2.7 m/kwh), but when I'm on long road trips, the dynamic range goes up significantly (3.0-3.2 m/kwh usually). Given that our highways here in TX allow driving at 75-85+, I'll usually never get the full EPA range (car actually has a message on screen to keep below 70 for efficiency), but given it's charging curve, it's way more than enough. I have been able to get EPA ratings, but it's dependent on multiple factors, as has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum.

Charging curve for ac charging should not be the case. There should not be a limit and if offered 22kw ac charging it should go from 0 to 100 not depending at which soc I start charging with full capacity.
I did some more ac charging testing. I am not happy about it.

The bad thing for efficiency is on Germany highways we can drive without max speed limit if no construction is there.
So I was driving the full 155 miles /h for testing ad well.

My driving speed for range testing was 130kmh which is 80 mph. So I know I could not get best range.
See efficiency pics..

Best efficiency will be below 60 MPH (100KPH). 130 KPH will definitely not be great for efficiency but shouldn't be too bad. Question I have is can you go faster than 150KPH? In the USA loaners are limited to 88 MPH max speed so I'm wondering if you will be able to hit 250 KPH

I did hit 230 km/h but then it was too much on the road so I stopped.
I bet it is unlimted because it is sold as a "fun" sports ca to rather "rich" or more wealthy people...
The configuration I had was with all options, so full yloaded GGT and it was 150.000 €...
The discount he could offer me was 6.000 € that is 4%... not much. THe other car manufacturer give 15-20% at the moment...
Sure there is no compareable to the Lucid gravity I would say for the time being... But for that discount I am not trading in my audi etron.
