Lucid Gravity 3.4.0 software update

I'm getting lost cell connection a lot too. Even worse since the update. 20 minute drive with no SXM today (around areas where there is service).

HIGH BEAM ASSIST UNAVAILABLE again on my last drive (stays off for the whole drive). Looked like that had gone away since yesterday morning but it's back again. But then I got out and let it sit for 10 minutes. Next startup that message was gone... but DREAM DRIVE UNAVAILABLE flashed for 5 seconds this time. Same ol pattern for the error messages, even after the update.

did you ddo the soft reboot after the update? That was the first thing I did.
Regarding cellular connectivity - my TIDAL still worked somehow, even though it showed that there was no connection,maybe the tracks were cached somehow, not sure
Next time I'll try SXM and see if it's working during this "outage"

I'm on my THIRD in two months. I actually told my SA that the buttons weren't working again but I was just going to wait for the software update because there was no reasonable way that it was a continued hardware issue for all three of my steering wheels.

My local SC called me proactively a month ago inviting me to replace the steering wheel AGAIN after they already replaced it a month earlier.
I asked for a part number and when I confirmed it's the same PN as the previous replacement, including -05 minor update, I politely refused it in anticipation of eventual software fix.
Jury is still out as I only had 3.4.1 for 2 days and no freeway driving to test the DD functions.

In one of Emad's interviews, he mentioned that they replaced a lot of steering wheels unnecessarily. I, for one, always thought it was a software issue because the right side worked great on everyone's car - no one ever complained about the right side. Additionally, the behavior was inconsistent, working well sometimes and poorly at other times. Interrupt management, I suspect. Regardless, fixed now and very happy about that!

Yes, did the reboot immediately after the update 2 days ago, then again just an hour ago. The DREAM DRIVE error popped up on the next start.

Just tried again and no errors this time. But same thing happened yesterday. Random.

post update, the changes they made to the battery management system for at home charging are terrible!!!

Before the update, the car would start charging at 19kW (80A) for 15-30 minutes, then drop down to 60% of that or 11kW (48A) for the remainder of the charge.

Post update, the car would start charging at only 18kW for 30 minutes, then slowly taper down. It’d first drop down to 13kW, then drop and stay at 7kW for the remainder of the charge.

The changes they made to the battery management system are a complete step backwards.

Edit 1: After stopping the charge early to restart it and see if the car can start charging again at the higher rate, the car is giving me a black screen and is completely non responsive. Had to do a hard reset to bring it back (held steering wheel buttons for 25 seconds to get the double beep).

Edit 2: Was finally able to get the car to start charging again after the hard reset. Car is back to charging again at 18kW and will most likely repeat the same charging cycle I stated above.

Anybody with 48A chargers at home noticing anything different about your charging?

Pre update:
- Starts at 100% of set max amps
- Drops down to 60% of max amps

Post update:
- Starts charging at slightly less than 80A
- Drops down to 70% of set max amps (I set mine to 80A)
- Drops down to 36% of set max amps

Edit 3: The car charged at 18kW for 5 minutes and is now back to 7kW (28A or 36% of my max amps setting).

I set my car for 48A charge tonight and it was again throttled down from 11kw to 7kw same as last night when I tried the 80A/19kw charge effort. I was able to continuously charge at 48A, nothing higher, prior to this software update. Indeed, the battery management system has taken a turn for the worse with this update.

Is Live View working for anyone? It has never worked properly for me and I have tried turning off network, signing out of phone and back in, etc.

I was fiddling with my phone earlier and turned off Halo and then tried Live View...and it worked!!! Once. After that, back to normal non-working behavior even when I toggled Halo on/off.

Tested it yesterday and today, both times with Wi-Fi, and worked both times. It does take a while to start displaying the images, though.

For me, Live View works only when my phone is using cell data... never worked when it's using wifi. My Gravity can be on wifi or built in data.

Was curios about EZ Entry new feature in this update - turns out the smaller (40%) part did fold flat after the long press, but the 60% did not, only the driver seat moved forward and the bench part of the 60% 2nd row seat "opened up" showing all its marveous hardware.

Live view remains 50/50, one day works ,next day doesn't

That’s absurd that they kept replacing it. No wonder the Service Centers are overwhelmed. Doing pointless work when software was most likely the problem.

Give the guy a break...he put some serious dough into it with PPF/ceramic coating and high end radar detection/jamming so I wouldn't be so quick to "Lemon Law" it either!

I would however be on Lucid to tow it to a SC and go over it with a fine tooth comb...like re-doing the PDI now that it's on 3.4.1

My Live View is now working better and my car is online outside of my home WiFi network.

Have 2 days of driving with update, above all else we now get "can detect your face" error constantly with sunglasses on. Only 75% of the time with sunglasses off, and then back to constantly at night. It is VERY annoying!
Until that is fixed, we probably are going to drive the Tesla's...it's that annoying!
I'm surprised there is no other reports of this, so I'm wondering if the update broke our interior camera or something??

Interesting and thorough review on this Gravity software update by Notch, I would definitely recommend watching!

Nevertheless I observe that he doesn’t “ trust “ the Lucid Nav system maps choosing to mount his phone on the left hand side and run Google Maps/waze? Simultaneously to the Lucid system! Why is this needed on $120k car?

I feel like they will do @hmp10 right. They will replace whatever HW is needed to fix his issue so that they can avoid the bad publicity due to a Lemon Law. If I were in their position, that's what I would do...

I think everyone pretty much has turned the driver attention feature off. Then the only time it’s an issue is with Dream Drive active and it’s never not noticed my face looking. It’s not recognizing your face for profiles tho. That hasn’t been enabled on Gravity yet.

This is exactly what we’ve been tracking in an Air charging thread since May of 2025 without confirmed answers from Lucid. Beginning in May 2025 after an update many of us on Tesla Wall chargers and other brands started getting a throttling down after about 15-30 minutes into the start of the charge. I never had any issue maintaining the full 48 amps 11.5 kw prior to that. Most of us suspected it was software related but the fact the Gravity is doing this now lends further credence to that theory. I don’t know how to link a thread here but if you search for “speed decreasing” in thread search you’ll find it.

Mine still only works if I turn off WiFi on my phone.

We turned this feature off on both profiles a long time ago. Definitely recommend doing the same

Aftermarket is a risk you take, why would they pay for all that?
