Lucid Gravity 3.4.0 software update

After a day with the update, I can say the boot is fast now. Walk up, open the door, screens are on. Menu switching is fast too. No warning messages either.

Tidal is working much better now, before returning to the car would continue the last song you had playing but you couldn't skip it because it's as if it did preload the next song. That problem is gone.

Car also remembers navigation destinations, if you leave and quickly come back.

I don't link the honking when the frunk closes. Not talking about the soft tone beep but the two sharp honks. I never experienced this before until yesterday after the update.
 
Everything seems great with this new update. But have been having one issue that I can’t tell if it’s software or actual problem. I’ve noticed it mostly in the cold if the car is not preconditioned. But I go to open the driver door and the window will not roll down to open the door. I tried multiple times and got in on the passenger side instead tried using the buttons… nothing. Tried the window reset, nothing. I went back inside preconditioned for about 30 minutes, worked fine. All other windows were working it was just the driver side. It happened previously where it didn’t go up or down until about 30 minutes into my drive then it worked. Software issue possibly, or do we think I need to get my window part replaced?

I get that same alert every time I update my fob. Rebooted phone. App. Removed fob battery and replaced. Tried over multiple days. Always get that alert but it still updates, apparently.

How close is the key fob to your phone? Are you far away (50+ ft) away from your Gravity? I moved as far away as I could to the limit of my WiFi and I put my Key Fob right next to my phone.

Key fob touching phone and I have tried 22 floors up and away from vehicle in addition to 7 floors under (was at a conference in a hotel basement yesterday) and 1000’ horizontally away. Same behavior each time.

VPN on by chance (try turning off)? Possible interference/block by the conference WiFi? Try turning WiFi off and use cellular data? I don’t have a clue - just throwing out random thoughts, as I don’t know if that connection failure is 1) download from Lucid to phone (WiFi/cell) or 2) phone to key Fob (Bluetooth).

My key fob update took a while to start - 10’s of seconds, it seemed - and I was starting to worry, but it eventually started and completed in seconds.

One last thought, which you may have already done. Replace the key fob battery with a new one if you haven’t. Firmware reprogram takes a lot of juice and could affect Bluetooth connection if the battery is low.

Turn signal blind spot camera comes on much quicker. It used to take half a second and that delay was quite annoying as it delayed my lane change. It’s quick enough now that I don’t notice the delay.

yep, nothing here either. :(

Still not clear whether it's better to have Wi-Fi on or off, or if one has to wake the car up and drive it for a while for it to notice there is an update out there. Mine has been sitting for a week as I had been away snowboarding.

The key fob update went OK this morning though.

Same here.

Florida seems to get a lot of Lucid stuff later than elsewhere. We've been waiting over six months for the second key fob that was promised to Gravity Dream Edition buyers. They have been sent to some owners elsewhere, but the Miami Service Center says they still have no date on when they're getting them for their customers.

yeah, my fob update didn't seem to want to start until I was quite a bit away from the car.

But are they still 🥔-cams? that's what I'm waiting to find out.
 
Still nothing for me. After four months of being disappointed with Lucid I guess a few more days (weeks) shouldn’t matter.

I wouldn't recommend turning WiFi on. I got the dreaded "vehicle offline" error in the app for the first time this morning after enabling WiFi in the car last night.
 
This is by far the best update so far and what should’ve came with the car from the get-go.
- Ambient lighting memory works
- Blind spot camera is noticeably higher quality and no lag
- Infotainment is smoother
- Car wakes up and starts quick
- SSP immersion is great
- Nav is improved

The one thing I noticed is on my HUD with nav, the speed limit curves slightly up now, but it’s not too bad.

I got my notification at 7 pm last night (MST). This update from start to finish was almost 3 hrs. Feels like a new car!
