Lucid gets some Welcome News

Will not translate to more sales until they fix the crappy software. I wanted to convince my brother to buy Gravity since it fulfills all of his requirements and both Air and Gravity drive great. But his main requirement (specially with a kid) is consistency for which I cannot recommend Lucid vehicles to him. 10 months into launch and still having key fob issues? not a good look at all.
 
Agree. Not sure how they came up with this rating. Based on “On Paper Stats” and maybe a 1 hour walk around and test drive, you might come up with this conclusion. Any survey based on long term use, customer survey of reliability, initial quality, etc. might come up with different conclusions. I am buying based on faith of where thing are headed. If I was told that the Gravity I am getting today is set in stone and this is the vehicle I would have with not updates/changes going forward, I would bail in a heartbeat.

I bought a 2023 Air GT from Lucid in August. I heard the horror stories about the early Airs, mainly software issues, but also heard that Lucid has beaten down most of the software issues. I have to say, mine has been nearly perfect, other than a couple of bugs recent updates caused, but nothing major.
Hopefully it will be the same for the Gravity, because word of mouth could kill easily kill it. I think with both cars, they were released before their times, probably to generate some much needed cash. Still, as my grandfather used to say, "You don't get a second chance to make a first impression".

Still, my Air has been super, and I've had a few Tesla owners drive it and they are all envious (except for FSD).

It’s from US News so it’s meaningless.

The whole model would be deemed a lemon and would kill the company. The reliance on OTA’s whilst giving the ability to get future goodies also has some serious cons to it also, as evident in the Gravity’s release.
