I have the factory installed Pilot Sport EV 245/40/ZR20 99Y summer tires. I was looking online at tires from various manufacturers and when i indicated i had the lucid aire RWD the recommended tires were 245/40/zr20 front AND 265/40/zr20 rear but Lucid has 4x 245/40/zr20 tires.. anyone know why there is a difference between what Lucid installed and what the tire provides recommend??

You might want to check your tires again. The stock 20s are staggered, with the fronts being 245 mm wide and the rears 265 mm.

The Pure RWD is not staggered. I think the tire stores do not have the RWD drive set up in their system because the AWD Airs are staggered when on 20" wheels.

I checked - all 4 are 245 mm

So for RWD all 4 tires are 245MM?

BTW i had called Lucid Customer Service and they could not assist me as the system shows N/A for my tires :)

I'm guessing this change is nothing more than another way to eek out a tiny bit less rolling resistance on the road to 5.0 miles/kWh, with a tiny bit of cost saving to boot.

...and come to think of it, wouldn't a RWD Pure have even more of a reason to have wider rear tires than an AWD?
