My lease is up in a few months and I have some curb rash.. What's the best way to fix it? Is it worth it or just pay whatever BofA will charge me as damages?
Any recommendations for curb rash repair shops in Philadelphia and/or South Jersey appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Check with local wheel repair / refinish shops. I had curb rash on some very special Camaro wheels repaired and refinished for a bit over $200. YMMV, of course, based on how much damage and local pricing. It's at least worth it to get an estimate.

I’d have the wheels repaired before turning the car in. After three years, all four of mine had some curb rash, and one had a major scrape from hitting a curb at about 30 mph while avoiding an accident. It cost me $600 to repair all four.

Search for wheel repair services in your area, check reviews, and ask around. Most major cities have plenty of options. I’d wait until the last few weeks of your lease so you don’t risk scuffing them again before the return.

I did that a few weeks ago. Paid $500 to repair 2 rims and detailed the car. Returned the car last week and Lucid found no issues.. waiting to hear back from leasing firm with my final bill.

Seems like most lease companies just want to replace the wheels and charge you a grand per wheel versus the refinishing cost, so it’s much better for you to have them refinished ahead of time if you can.

When you returned did you use the openlane inspection or just turn in blind?

I had to schedule an inspection by openlane and then return to the Lucid service center. It went smoothly. At the end they found some scratches underneath and total bill was around $500.

I’m returning in a week. After the first inspection, I had my rims repaired. I got a letter from Lucid that I needed to send the receipts for the repair to them.

Did you do that?
Why would Lucid care who did the repair and how much I paid for it?

No one asked me for any receipts.

Thank you. It was really odd to get that letter.
I scheduled the return date/time and they said they’d send me a confirmation email which a week later I still haven’t received. Fingers crossed. 🤞

This is all so odd. I've leased in excess of 15cars in my life. Never had to pay a dollar (other than the lease return fee on any of them). The more I see the more nervous I get.

Lease returns have included:
2 x audi
2 x bmw
1 x 911
2 x volvo
1 x Genisis
1 x Polestar
2 x MBZ
etc and so on!
Just hope this one runs smoothly too.

Same here. I think the fingers are pointing to BoA but in the end it reflects upon my experience with Lucid. There’s a minor scratch on the front bumper that falls within what’s “expected” but was flagged by the inspector as “excessive” and quoted replacing the entire unit for $800. It made me very angry and I plan on contesting this.
They’re being penny-wise, pound-foolish.
