Lucid Air GT - replacing Stealth 20" Summer with 20" Winters

Hello,
2026 Lucid GT. NJ/Philly suburbs. Mild winters, but rarely any snow except for a couple snow storms.

Are winter tires overkill for my area? I am leaning towards the all-seasons as using Summer tires below 45-deg F are not recommended. I don't expect to drive in heavy snow even if I have an extreme storm

Summer - Front Michelin 245/40 ZR20, Rear Michelin 265/40 ZR20

2. All season. ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus. ~$1,300 for all 4 tires

For what its worth, I ran the stock 19s last winter to and from VT. Never had an issue. Could I have used more grip on steep snow covered roads? Yes. But for mostly flat snow covered roads (paved and dirt) the all seasons were fine. That said I purchased some used 19 inch wheels and 4 Blizzak snow tires for this season.

2026 Air T. NY/LI. I also have the 20" stealth package and need a winter setup.

I'm going to just swap out my 20" summer tires for a top rank ultra high performance all season to avoid worrying about a swap (with the required TMS reset by Lucid Service Center) with a wheel and tire winter set every year. Plus I think winter tires are unnecessary given how little snow we've been getting over the last few years in NYC. Maybe I'll try to sell the summer tires or maybe hold onto them for the lease return in case I wear the all-season tread down below the acceptable level.

I'm looking at the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus as well (Tire Rack just started carrying the right sizes), but you should also consider the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s which come out to around $200 more for the correct-sized package. Supposedly very close in all categories and (maybe) slightly better in the dry. I doubt you'll be dissatisfied with either.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the stock 19's are all-season tires while the 20's are definitely summer max performance tires and definitely should not be use below 40f.
