2023 Lucid Air Pure AWD
I have a 2023 Lucid Air Pure with standard 19" aero wheels. There is a small amount of curb rash on the one wheel that I am trying to repair myself. I've already got it sanded down pretty well but now I need the silver paint color to touch it up.

There was an old post where the recommendation was to just sand it with not paint, but I'd still like to try to touch it up with the correct paint color. Can anyone provide the paint color or paint code for the wheels? Thanks you.

If your Pure has the same 19” wheels as my GT I don’t believe they’re painted. For polished aluminum/alloy wheels I always sand them working my way up to 3000 grit. You’ll transition through dry to wet sanding as you move to the higher grit levels. I finish off with Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish which removes/fills in any of the fine scratches. It takes about 20 minutes to get them to like new.

I have repaired painted alloys on other vehicles. It’s a laborious process and typically involves priming and repainting the whole wheel to get a proper finish. There are kits for this purpose. They typically include a jar of base silver paint and a small amount of black to add in for a color match. The job is finished with a coat of clear. The prep must be pristine otherwise you’ll get chipping and peeling.

I’m comfortable in doing polished aluminum wheels myself. For anything else I’d pay the hundred bucks or so to have a pro do it.

Anyone have any tips for the stealth painted wheels? I don't have curb rock but there is a small area where the black paint chipped off. Would any type of touch up paint work?

I'll transition to wet sanding with 2000, then 3000 grit and get the Mother's polish you recommend. Thank you Northpointe.
