Just got notification on 2.8.9. The 2.8.7 was a neutral update on my 2025 AT with DD pro, so not sure if to install or not. Lucid has a tendency to introduce new bugs with new updates...

Installed 2.8.9 yesterday and can confirm it fixes the (limited) bugs I saw on 2.8.7 in my car, including the momentary black screen in the instrument cluster.

My screen never went black with any update so far. But if this fixes it for those who were having this issue, that’s great. I imagine that was the main function of this update.

Pro tip: it says the update will take 1 hour, 50 mins. But everyone I’ve talked to says it only took 25 to 30 minutes.

That time estimate used to be extremely reliable. Seems like the last couple of updates have changed that, though.

The time estimate may depend on if you had previously loaded 2.8.7 or not. It may be longer for owners that did not get 2.8.7.

I just installed the 2.8.9. Having said that, I had zero issues with 2.8.7. ‘25 Air Touring with no DD Pro

I was charging at EA, then idk what happened the car started making some noise, the charger threw an error, then the plug got stuck in the port! Thought i might be spending the night at Walmart. Eventually the charger errored out and released the cable, but then then when I left the driver screen shut off. I tried putting it in park which didn’t being the screen back, but eventually it came back.

Touring ‘25 with DDPro, had previously received 2.8.7 (didn't have any issues), just installed 2.8.9 in 33 minutes

There's a manual release for the charge port. Details are in the owner's manual.
