Lucid Gravity DE
Gravity DE Number
47
I have a Gravity DE with the standard 22 and 23 rims. It came with Summer P Zeros.
They drive and perform great, and look super cool too.
I am in the SF Bay area so my local weather is pretty mild, however my family and I do like to drive up to Tahoe for snow sports. I expect my current tires are not doing to be best, so am thinking about getting a complete set of new rims and tires M&S rated, not full on winter tires.
Perhaps using smaller rims too which should help with range. I could go low risk and buy Lucid rims. Looking for tips on rim size and configuration front/back and good tires for balance of performance and range.

I need a primer on tires/wheels please. I have a GGT on order with the 22/23 wheels. I've been torn between looks(22/23) and mileage(20/21's). I have a CTS--V with low profile 22/23's. They greatly increase road noise and seems like they want to hit every pothole/nail/screw out there. Are the 22/23's summer tires or all weather? Is the ride harsher in the Gravity with the larger tires? With your experience, would you order the same package or go for the smaller wheel/tire combo? Finally, are the smaller tires all-weather or summer tires? Thanks for the help!!

My DE came with the 22/23, they are summer tires, they drive really great. The car feels like it's on rails on the freeway. I have a model X and have Mercedes and BMWs too, this car feels the best at high speed than all my previous cars.
The tires have really straight walls, so are very rigid, I think that's why they feel so good.
As for the ride, it's surprisingly good, not as harsh as I expected, I think the Gravity's triple suspension helps. But it's really thin rubber so avoid pot holes!
There is definitely a big hit on range and these tires look they will wear quickly. But honestly the biggest cost of ownership of most cars is the depreciation, if you value the high performance and handling stick with your 22/23 but if all weather is critical change now and save $$$.
In my case the 22/23 were standard but I need all weather so I am planning to swap between two sets each year - May to Oct on the 22/23 and 20/21 with all weather for remaining.

Thanks much for the reply. I'm still up in the air on which to get, but I think that I'm going to do like you and have two sets of wheels/tires. Again, thanks!

There is no currently available all season tire option for the 22"/23" so take that into account if you will be driving in cold weather conditions

I'd just get a set of Lucid's own mid or small wheels, with the OEM tires. Lucid put a lot of effort into optimizing the tire choices.

I agree; if you have the storage space a set of 20/21's gives you more options for A/S or All weather or 3peak M&S rated tire options
For example check these:
