LCD Rear View Mirror

Has any one figured out how to easily add an LCD rear view mirror to the Gravity? I rode in a friend’s ‘23 Lexus NX today and the LCD rear view mirror is impressive. It gives a much wider field of view and totally eliminates the headrest obstructions. We had the back of the car packed high with boxes for a move and it was nice not to have to worry about obstructing anything.

Given the Gravity’s small rear window and the fact that the car already has rear cameras, the lack of an LCD rear view mirror is a total miss on a car this expensive.

Is it really such a big problem to look down 8 inches at the rear camera display instead? I don't understand the difference other than the existing screen is bigger and easier to see.
I don't think it would be an easy thing to add aftermarket without adding an additional camera as well.

I'm not sure about the Lexus, but the Cadillac Escalade has the rear view camera on at all times for the rear view mirror (so the rear view mirror really is no longer a mirror). I think that's what the original poster is getting at, not just when you are in reverse.

Understood, thanks for the clarification. I forgot that was a thing. I'd be a little nervous with the number of times the cameras in my Air cut out randomly, but thankfully I haven't seen that on Gravity so far.

Had the digital rear view mirror on an EV9 GT-line, one of the few things I miss in the Gravity. Didn't use it all the time, but it was really, really handy at night (HDR) and when the third row was occupied. The rear window of the Gravity is particularly obstructed due to the poor placement of the third brake light.
