Does anyone know when the King of Prussia center will be open officially? Is this a service center as well or just a showroom? Does anyone have any pics of the the place?

Yes, August 2024 a Lucid STUDIO is opening in the KOP mall.

Sounds like you're talking about something different. The KOP Service Center has been in operation for months already.

Yes, the service center has been open for months, but in August 2024, Lucid opened a sales/test drive group inside the King of Prussia mall -- it's where I test drove. It's located outside of Nordstrom right near the Rolex store.

I live an hour away from the KOP mall but I can’t find the Lucid Studio listed on any of the mall maps. Are you certain it’s in the mall?

If anyone is looking for the Lucid Event popup (it runs through June 15), it's inside the King of Prussia mall, right by the Nordstrom entrance inside the mall. So to get to it, just go into the Nordstrom parking lot and head through the Nordstrom store into the mall, then you'll see a Lucid parked there in the little internal courtyard. The picture on the Events site for KoP is apparently a photo they took elsewhere or just AI-generated because it is nothing like the setup at KoP.

As an aside, the local Lucid people have been trying to get the Lucid web people to fix the website, which has the wrong street address. The address listed is (still) 160 N. Gulph Rd, which is the Seasons 52 restaurant across the main parking lot road from the Nordstrom.

The Lucid guy there at the popup (I recall his name is Jeffrey) has been with Lucid since the beginning and is both extremely technically knowledgeable and great to talk to. You can play with the car that's parked there inside the mall and take a look at part of the battery pack and one of the motors that they have there on display. The actual test drives are down the hall just outside, where they have a couple of Airs parked. I hung out with him for about an hour and he was awesome, tons of insight and technical tidbits,.

But I got to the popup second...when I arrived early to the Seasons 52 last week for my popup-registered time, there happened to be a Air parked on the side, so I assumed (when you assume....) I was at the right place and there was a test drive going on, so I went inside and had a drink and an appetizer while I waited for my slot...only to come out near my time slot to find the Air gone and no one around.

So I drove over to the Lucid Service Center (250 Mall Blvd, King of Prussia, PA 19406), thinking they'd know where the bloody popup was. Turns out they had already done a soft-opening of the Studio there and it was fully operational, with all the different Air models parked inside, all the internal options and fabrics hanging there, etc.

The awesome Studio Associate Tiffany apologized for the issue with the popup address/info and rather than send me back to the popup, asked her manager if she could take me for a test drive in one of the zillion Airs parked in their parking lot, got permission for an AT model, and off we went for about 20 minutes, including highway driving. She was also amazing, full of detailed technical info (answered literally every techie question that I had) and encouraging me to fully test the max acceleration ("You won't bother me, I love it!") and taking me down some roads with countersunk manholes and drainage grates to show me how much better the suspension and handling of those kinds of road challenges are on the Air versus my Tesla Model S (and she was right).

The Airs parked in the lot there (they are a distribution center for the entire mid-Atlantic region, apparently) give you a chance to see what the various colors look like outside in natural light.

Despite the logistics challenges from corporate not updating the Events site, it was an absolutely fantastic experience, no only technically and with the vehicle itself, but also completely with totally outstanding customer service.

BTW, the Lucid Studio King of Prussia will be doing their official Grand Opening on Saturday, June 7 from 10am to 1pm, including a Q&A with Lucid executives, an Air Sapphire that you can drive, hour-long test drives of various Air and Gravity models, and light refreshments.

Just to be clear, did Jeffrey or Tiffany at Lucid inside the KOP Mall tell you specifically there will be a Gravity available to sit in and/or test drive this Saturday, June 7th?

And the event is being held inside the Mall, not at the Service Center? If so, the invitation I received is incorrect?

I'll preface this by just saying that I'm not a fan of SUVs and so the Gravity holds zero interest for me, other than there's some very cool new tech in it that I hope makes it to the Air soon. So I probably wasn't paying as much attention as I should of when they talked about the Gravity. 😬

Even though the Studio Grand Opening overlaps with the Pop-Up Event date-wise, AFAIK they aren't related in any way. So while Jeffrey and I talked about the Gravity tech-wise, we didn't even discuss the Grand Opening and whether there would be a Gravity there.

The Grand Opening is definitely at the Lucid Studio KoP, not anywhere inside the mall. As for whether Gravity models will be available to test drive, I literally got a call from the KoP Studio just now as I was posting this, inviting me to the Grand Opening via phone. I took the opportunity to ask about the Gravity and the guy said that there will be a Gravity there, but only for viewing, not for test drives (i.e. the same situation as with the Sapphire). After the June 7 event, that Gravity will be located in the Studio, but still not available for a test drive, unfortunately. He said the current estimate on when a Gravity will be at KoP for test drives is "the end of June".
