If you follow the Reddit thread for Gravity you’ve likely read my pretty lengthy post about my nightmare sales experience and immediate software issues back in December. Luckily the Richmond SC has been easy to work with, and they got my gravity back to me yesterday after having it 2 weeks.
Light bar was replaced
HUD was replaced
Drivers door seal was fixed
3rd row seat parts were fixed
And some other glitchy things were checked.
Well, I got it back yesterday, and the HUD is actually worse imo. It’s suddenly much more sensitive to the brightness level of wherever I’m driving. If there’s a shaded area- I’m suddenly looking at a giant white rectangle, if a car drives by with high beams on, my hud display goes so dim it disappears.
Whatever they did to fix the seal around the drivers door has now resulted in a noticable air noise like the door isn’t shut all the way.
I’m suddenly having fob issues for the first time as well. Delays in unlocking, the vehicle not shutting off, etc.
on pick up back in December I was immediately hit with a loud screeching sound from the hvac, so they checked that out as well. The screeching had stopped for most of the 6 weeks I had it before it went to service…but now I’m getting an intermittent clicking and humming noise.
Overall it kind of feels like 2 steps back…the ppl at the SC are really great, but it they can only do so much when the software hasn’t caught up to resolve the issues yet. I love my gravity, but I was not anticipating my brand new 131k fully loaded suv to need a service appt on day 1, followed by the need to go immediately back after being returned to me. I’m really questioning my decision to finance vs lease and overall just feeling a bit cheated after paying for all the upgrades features, most of which are unavailable or completely unusable (like hud). Lucid REALLY NEEDS to get it together…
The gps is not functional, it will not route me home. I literally set my location to my house as I was 1 street away, and it directed me to drive past it, loop around my area for 5 miles and return on same street. simple directions do not work, and yes I’ve downloaded the map for my state. The assistant regularly doesn’t understand or can’t answer basic questions, or has a glitchy voice. Don’t even get me started on lack or CarPlay, app functionality, etc. I’m half convinced the meditation apps are simply there to calm down the frustrations from things not working as they should.
