JerryRigEverything video of Gravity

Yeah this video is fantastic, really shows how remarkably versatile the Gravity is, and that tow hitch was very easy to install and he said the tongue weight is 600lbs. What is everybody complaining about?

That's the weight for pulling a trailer (6000 lb towing with 600lb tongue weight). That is much more than the rated weight of a hitch carrying accessory due to the lack of leverage from not having trailer wheels at the opposite end.

The lower accessory weight is not so much that the hitch carries less when it is an accessory, but an acknowledgement of the fact that holding an accessory rack from one end exerts a force on the hitch that is much larger than the actual weight of the accessory. A 110lb bike rack can easily exert 600lbs of force on the hitch itself.

Because they could have just made it like this:

It would hold more than 2 bikes, cost less, weigh less, and wouldn't need a dongle. I would gladly accept all that for some extra seams in the black plastic.

Nice! She appears to be quite capable in her upper body, and also has a pretty lightweight chair. I have a relative without the same upper body capability, and who cannot use an extremely light chair. For a number of wheelchair users, it'd really help if the Gravity had a minivan sliding door for the driver's side rear door. That could allow mounting a wheelchair crane behind the driver's seat. As it is, Toyota Sienna minivans will be the vehicle of choice for many people.
