Based on this and the Car and Driver review, this car sounds exactly like the Grand Cherokee rental we had a couple of months back… what a horrendous car that was. If you think Tesla has bad build quality, you should sit in one of those cars! The doors feel EVEN FLIMSIER than Tesla ones (the engineer at Jeep responsible for this should get some sort of prize for this accomplishment, that is very hard to do), there was an interior trim material almost falling out (and I could move EVERY single trim piece in the car with my hands), and it only had ~1k miles!

The worst part is that the rental was 45k (which is overpriced for the car, IMO), as there are much better value options. Similarly, the Gravity is a far better value than this for just a bit more in Touring guise, and so is literally any other EV SUV in the same segment (EV9, etc, which all have more space due to the Jeeps roofline). I would not consider this car.

I test drove one on Saturday. It drives great, good acceleration, good handling for an SUV, very nimble, fairly quiet. It is six inches shorter than gravity but half of the cargo area. The Frunk is very small but at least it has one. The sales guy with me had never been in an EV, so we launched it. I think he had more fun than I did.

The route planning and navigation is incredibly bad. I asked the sales manager to show me how to plan a route to Moab. A route that I knew would be difficult and the shortest route will not be possible in a vehicle with 300 miles of range. The route planner does not plan charging stops. After selecting a route, it says that you need to charge to complete the route and allows you to add a charging stop. It selects Flaggstaff as the first charge using a 62kW charge point rather than the 150kW EA. Since nobody at the dealership could tell me the peak DC charging rate of the Wagoneer S, this may be Ok but I doubt it. Then the route planner still says that charging is needed to get to Moab so we try adding even level 2 chargers and it never completes the route. There is a route through Payson, Gallop and Farminington that would work but the Jeep Nav never finds it.

It is not a bad looking SUV.

It does have the look..
I did consider Grand Cherokee 4XE until I saw SAVAGEGEESE youtube review... and I said "nope".

I'd give 6~7 months for a huge discount... Just look at Acura ZDX... Every quarter, different promotions/discounts.
