Is this fob low battery warning new??

I don't use my fob much but appreciated getting an alert today saying the battery was low.

This is really helpful...is this new?

It must be. Because mine have been low and I've never seen that.

I got the same alert a couple months ago. From what I understand, they had it on early on, removed it, and now it's back.
