iOS app constantly using location?

iOS 18.5, Lucid app 2.6.2, Gravity SW 3.2.1 -- the little blue arrow in the dynamic island is lit about 80% of the time, and if I tap it I go to the Lucid app.

This happens even though Location Services for the app is set to "While Using the App".

Anyone else encounter this?

iOS 18.5, Lucid app 2.6.2. I haven't seen this at all. I have an Air, not a Gravity in case that makes a difference.

Yep, I'm on 2.6.2 with an Air on 2.7.1, but this has ALWAYS been the case if I have my phone set up as mobile key. It just crushes my battery. The theory is if you're regularly fairly close to your vehicle (for example, your living room/home office is a room or two away from your garage) it may be constantly connected to the car and thus the app and location are always running to check to see whether the car should be unlocking or not.

Oh, that's a good theory. The Gravity doesn't have Mobile Key yet (I think). I'll just disable location services in the app for now...

I used to have location services on at all times and the app would use it very frequently, even when closed. In one of the updates, something changed and even when I switched location to use only when app open, it would unlock my car despite the app being closed. I was really happy.

Since 2.8, that luxury is gone. In order to avoid the location tracking, I have gone back to use when open and open my app when approaching the car and close it once I leave and car is locked.
