How much extra space behind the car is needed to comfortably open the liftgate

The way the liftgate is designed when it opens it extends over the regular car dimensions in both horizontal and vertical direction. The manual provides car dimensions that include the height with liftgate open (plus the fact that liftgate height can be adjusted). What I couldn't find is the amount of extra horizontal space / length needed to open the liftgate. I have a preferred parking garage spot, but it's more space constricted and I'm wondering whether I'll be able to open the liftgate when the car is parked there.

And a different less important question. Is it ok for me to assume that I don't need any extra space in front of the car to open the frunk?

In my garage, I park no closer than 24 inches from the back wall (according to the rear view camera measurements). That allows the tailgate to open with about an inch of clearance to my back wall.

As far as the frunk, no you don’t need any extra horizontal space. But vertically, be sure you have the space there for your garage door. And make sure you don’t activate the door while the frunk
Lid is up, or a big scratch will come your way!
