This is actually inaccurate. You can still option to have a rearview mirror with Homelink with a new Passport - you can see it for yourself on the vehicle configurator on Honda's website. From what I can see, there is simply an alternative method of using myQ for those that don't have the Homelink-enabled rearview mirror option. Honda used to include Homelink-enabled rearview mirrors standard with their upper trims for their vehicles but turned it into an option recently (I believe due to supply issues but I can't find a source for that), which is probably what purchasers of new Hondas who used to own a older vehicle are getting confused by.
