Currently we have the following vehicles:
- Tesla Model 3
- Tesla Model X

We have a reservation for:
- Lucid Gravity Dream Edition

For charging we have two Tesla HPWC on a single 100A breaker, connected to each other. When the X is plugged in alone, it can charge at 80A. When both vehicles are plugged in, they each charge at 40A.

For a different location, we'd like to set up a new pair of charges -- to initial support the Tesla vehicles, and future replace the X with the Gravity.

I haven't kept up with the latest charging offerings from Tesla (and haven't ramped up on the home charging options from Lucid).

Assuming we want to max out the charging rate with "only Gravity" or "only X" attached (and maybe a future Lucid Air)...

What recommendations do you guys have, and what reading should I do?

Thanks!

If you want only Gravity or only X to be able to charge at the maximum AC rate (and also support two vehicles at once later), plan for 80 A / 19.2 kW Level-2 capability per vehicle (that’s what Lucid Air/Gravity use for AC charging) and wire per the NEC continuous-load rule (see details below). Practically that means either:
Install one 80 A capable EVSE on a dedicated 100 A breaker for single-vehicle max charging; or Upgrade service and install a sub-panel so you can run two 80 A EVSEs with appropriate breakers and a sensible load-sharing arrangement so both can run as fast as the car allows.
