Heated Seats Behavior After 2.6.x Update

So I'm hoping someone can confirm the behavior of the heated seats. Prior to 2.6.x (at least I think so), if you turn the passenger or rear heated seats on, the next time you get in the car those heated seats were not on if no one was sitting in those seats? Or does it simply remember the last on/off position? Right now, if any of the heated seats in any spot are turned on, they will remain on the next time I drive the car even if no one is sitting in those seats. I have to manually turn each position off.

I swear that didn't happen until 2.6.x, but maybe I'm completely wrong about the expected behavior.

Hoping some of the longtime owners can confirm the behavior one way or the other.
