Hawaii Lucid owners

Wanted to start a thread for Hawaii owners to create a community to help support each other given that we have no service center here, thanks!

Gravity Dream Edition owner since October 2025, my first Lucid. Coming from a Tesla Model X, love the driving experience and hoping for further improvements to the software, like everybody else.

Mobile service comes out every few months it sounds like. They were just here last week and borrow space at one of our local auto body shops to do the work. My car went in for a few things (some of the typical Gravity launch issues) and while they were able to address some of them, others will have to wait for their next visit to Hawaii since we’re waiting for certain components to be redesigned ((2nd row seats( to address the issues. My hood will need to be replaced (the two attempts needed to open the frunk issue) so the body shop here will be doing that work once they get the part in. The PPF on my hood will need to be replaced afterwards, sigh

Odd that they’re replacing the hood and not the latches. Usually it’s just the latches.

I guess since the latches didn’t fully release, the motor was straining against it and actually caused the inside of the hood to warp. They sent me this pic when service was working on it. Oof. Bummed because this means the PPF on the hood will also need to be replaced once the hood is replaced

Huh. I’m not at my car, but does that really necessitate a whole hood replacement? That’s all one piece?

If so, that sucks.

Sorry for the delay in response, work has been crazy lately. Yeah I would have been happier if they had said that they could just replace the underside or changed out a part but I guess it’s one piece?? I’m scared to even open the hood to look at it (though really, what harm is it going to do if they’re going to replace it anyway)
