Hands free Drive Assist! Jul 30. Air first!

Lane change and lane centering already exists, curious what's new for those two. I think Handsfree on marked highway is all about additional distance without touching the steering wheel, as of now it's a very short distance/ time without touching steering.

Just got the update notice on my end. 2 hour update. Will be doing this afternoon and then trying out later…

Received my “hands off” update on Wed while I was in DC. I was able to use it on my way back to NJ. I was quite pleased. I think they have succeeded in smoothing out the center lane function; the lane shift does not lag in acceleration as the car is moving over and merging. I also noticed that the car was not prone to swerve to the right when coming to an exit or entrance ramp where the dash lane divider is rather short leaving an open space to the right without a lane marker.

I would suggest two improvements:
1) the turn signal remains on two to three clicks too many times if one is on a three or more lane road and has two lanes to the side in the direction one is changing lanes, the turn signal remains on long enough to give the impression you are moving into the second lane over as well.
2) since many functions are on the pilot panel, I often received the warning to keep eyes on the road when I was accessing a function on the panel. Giving a bit more time in such instances before the alert is triggered would be helpful.

More often than I wish, I received the “keep your eyes on the road” or “cannot see your face when I was looking directly ahead. I mostly resolved the issue by lowering my seat and also looking to the left

Overall, I was quite pleased. Well done.

Agree completely with your first point. Seems like this should be an easy fix and would avoid confusing/annoying other drivers behind the vehicle.

Have you tried lowering your steering wheel a little?
