Had my test drive in the Gravity yesterday! The driving experience was second to none. There is no SUV in this size range that even comes close. Handling was firm but comfortable and you knew where the road was at all times. The other SUV’s I’ve driven including BMW, Mercedes,Hyundai were soft and floaty like driving a boat. The Gravity felt fully connected to the road and responsive to my every move. The Gravity was smooth , quiet and a blast to drive. I was ready to place my order except for the multiple annoying inadequacies of the software at this time. Things like Apple car play not available yet, the heads up display cannot be adjusted, same old connectivity issues with Sirius XM, Key fob doesn’t work yet and heavens knows what wasn’t found in my 60 minute evaluation. I expected these annoying problems with my Air as it was their first car and it was worth working through those issues in order to have that car for the last three years but quite frankly I expected Lucid to have done a better job learning from their past experiences and have a much more functional vehicle their second time around. This company has the potential to to be one of the best EV companies in the world but this is a competitive market and if they are to survive and excel they need to do better. I will probably lease a BMW IX while I wait for Lucid to get its act together. I find that very disappointing..

I'm waiting until later this year to make a purchase decision on Gravity. I've had the full early-adopter experience with a 2018 Model 3, then a 2021 Air GT, and am happy to let other people do the early-production debugging of Gravity for me this time. Most newly-designed EVs seem to have a similar range of major and minor issues, including my tentative Plan B EV-SUV.

Why not just place order now, by the time you get your car, most of those software issues should be resolved (I hope so), worst case, it's not solved, but you'll have the best driving experience. I'm prioritizing driving over software bugs.

I did, seemed like a reasonable plan. I changed my color choice to Titanium, hoping to delay my final purchase decision until later this year when Gravity has had time to become more fully-baked, and the competitive landscape has broadened.

I think it is exciting to drive a car that has new major update between now and then and it keeps you wanting more

Besides you get to be one of the owners how give feedback and shape the next update

I want to get the gravity but I am waiting for the price to come down. I just had my 1st anniversary with my Air and I am not looking for divorce, not yet at least hhhh
