Getting ready to order a 2026 Air Touring. I want to make sure the car will fit in my garage. My Model S fits fine. I understand the Lucid is 2" shorter which is good, but I have a 3 3/4" concrete platform on the back wall., and I park with the Model S nose extending over the platform a couple of inches. I've looked for ground clearance numbers for the Touring model and find a variance of answers. Will the front of the car let me overlap the platform slightly? What is a reliable ground clearance number?

Thanks.

I have a 2025 Air Grand Touring with 19" wheels (I don't know if that makes a difference, but I thought I'd mention it. The front lip of the car sits about 7-3/4" above the ground. However there is a panel underneath the front of the car that slopes gently downward. This panel reaches a low point of about 5.5" above the ground, 10" back from the front lip of the car. It sounds like you should be good to go!

I was concerned about clearance when I bought my Grand Touring a few months ago, and the local studio kindly drove out one of their cars and tried parking it in the garage to be sure there were no issues. I don't know how far away you are from your studio, but that may be an option.

Thanks.. pretty far (more than a hundred miles) but if the numbers I received today are right I'm in good shape. Thanks for the suggestion.

L-Dude's numbers are good and you should have no problem.

Super.. want to pull the trigger. ASAP.. I've gotten tired of Tesla (the company), but the software is quite good. Want a 2026 w/DDPro and my showroom says late this year, which seems awfully slow. I can find an AT with everything but DDPro. You'd think with the updated features (hands free) they would prioritize it, but nothing is coming out of the factory that I can see with that feature. I guess will order and wait, while my trade in declines in value.

Could be a parts shortage.

Most of the inventory cars are 2025s at this point. And they’ve sold out of DDPro equipped ones. Thus the wait for the 2026 models. They just announced those.
