such a small point but today was my first trip in the rain with the car. I've had wipers on previous cars that just could not get the timing right on auto. these did such a great job - were perfect. and, that they retract under the hood when the car thinks they won't be needed for a while is so great. small detail, but added such a nice experience to the drive.

Still would prefer an Intermittent setting with fixed timing intervals. (i.e.: 2, 5, 8 seconds)
On Auto Lo/Hi, they often continue well after the windshield is dry, and they often fail to actuate when a light mist is completely obstructing the view.
I find myself using the stalk-end button in this car 5x more frequently than any previous vehicle.

It is neat that they retract into the cowling for aerodynamics; also helps keep streaks from forming where they're parked.

I mis my BMW wipers. They have an Auto setting with 5 different sensitivities, which I think is correct way.

I agree with MGRMLN. My wife's BMW i4M50 has the wipers on the stalk with various sensitivities and works great.

I also agree with Chrome. At least in my AGT, the intermittent Hi/Low wipers are a disaster. They are almost unusable. The windshield can be completely covered in mist and the intermittent wipers do not actuate on either setting. Constantly having to use the one wipe stalk button in light rain. Maybe New Lucid Guy has a 2025 model where the problem has been fixed vs my 2022 where it continues to be a hassle which is frequent in the Oregon weather.

I'll post back updates next time it rains! Maybe there were hardware charges to the sensor?

25 Touring here in the PNW, I have the same experience and find myself using the one wipe button enough that its almost a reflex.

that's great that you are pleased with how your wipers operate, however many of us do not share your experience. I am not pleased with the quality of the removal of the water drops or the timing of the auto feature.

I can't comment on Lucid (yet - can't wait for my GGT.... or maybe DE) but my experience with all automated wipers sucks. Same complaint as all of the above. They go on wiping after the screen is dry (ppppppprrrrrrttttt!!!) and don't activate when misty. My Tesla Model S is no exception. Another ridiculous Tesla gripe - if I've left my wipers on and get back into the car when it's wet out, if I don't catch it in time or get the door closed in a hurry, I get a whole windshield worth of water dumped on my leg. WTF, Elon.
