Can you restart your router? Will that kick it onto cellular?

Hi Flexman
I have an Air, so not quite the same. However, do yoi get notifications when charging starts and stops? I have found that my app connects much more readily when the car is awake. Try opening the app when charging starts.

I found the problem and I'm able to reproduce it.

When the car finishes charging, it goes to a state called "Sleep/Charge". I can't wake it up from there.

When the car sleeps without charging, the state is called "Sleep". I can wake it up just fine from there.

I have always been able to wake my car, regardless of charging state. Can you help me understand?
 
I mean wake from their server side, through the app. The car works normally with the key fob.

I like to run the HVAC in the morning for example, while I'm getting ready at home. That's not working.

I don't think that's the intended behavior. The Air doesn't do that.

I get it - I have always been able to wake my car through the app. Are we going in a circle and I'm not understanding?

Same. I have a habit of opening the app every morning to warm up the cabin before I take my son to his bus stop. I can't remember it ever failing for me under any charging scenario.

Yes, I use scheduling through the car. Using Gen 3 Tesla wall Charger; again, through the car scheduler, not wall charger scheduler.
 
Similar here. Interesting.

I've been playing with their API. I'll try to reproduce the issue consistently to report to them.

Mostly scheduled, but sometimes I override and charge immediatley. Also, at home the car is on WiFi and at work it's not. No issues with the car waking up via the app.
 
I have been having the same problem for about 3 weeks now. Initially it started when I was on vacation and tried to install 3.5.1 remotely. I have been home for several days now, successfully installed 3.5.1, and I am still having the issue of being unable to wake up the car with my iPhone when the car is parked in my garage just a few feet away.
 
I found the actual problem. Kick the car off your wi-fi network and everything goes back to normal.

If your wi-fi access point doesn't have that capability, you can cycle Wi-Fi in the car off/on.

I've reported that to Lucid with an in-depth network packet analysis.

I have seen this reported before. The weird thing is that thousands of owners have their cars on home wi-fi without problems waking up. I wonder what is the specifics of the bug? ...🤔

How many people actually try to use the app in the morning? I’d bet that most people just use the key and drive away.

I can clearly see the car messing up with its OpenVPN tunnel and DNS settings overnight. Every single night.

I’d solve this problem in 10 minutes, if I had access to the code.

I set up a job to kick the car off my Wi-Fi every morning at 6:30. “Problem solved” here. :D

I may have to look at doing this on my OpenWRT router.

what do you think the car is attempting to do and failing?
 
For some unknown reason overnight, the car starts sending DNS traffic directly to the Internet, instead of over the VPN. It tries to resolve a bunch of internal hostnames that apparently only resolve in the VPN. Interesngly, the VPN itself is still sending heartbeats.

When I force the car to reconnect, it fixes the DNS problem.
