2026 LUCID GRAVITY GT
My right front passenger window stays open/ will
Not move up or down when front door opens/closes and now left rear passenger windows has trouble opening and closing…

Same on mine. Don't always drop to open doors (notably on both drivers side for us) and also auto up doesn't work. Stops and retracts in the middle third of travel and have to inch it up.

I've tried the window calibration procedure and didn't fix it.

I can see the front window breaking… as it -as
Of now does not move down appropriately when the front door opens and stays fully up when I
Close the front door

My SUV goes into “service “ next week
for:
1. Rear seat belt National recall
2. Front air noise: rumbling sound when driving > 70 mph…. Wind rumbling sound
3. Now window issues…
Love the way it drives But now wish Lucid was
Doing better financially…. And that the glitches were well vetted before roll out….

My dad, rest his soul, would have killed me knowing I leased a brand new unvetted car/SUV…

How do u do window calibration test?

Have you tried gently pushing on the window while trying to open/close?

My front passenger window acted up two times in the last month. Symptoms I experienced:

Incident #1
  1. Rolled down 1/2 way when it reached the top. Could not fully close the window.
Incident #2 about 3 weeks later:
  1. Would not close all the way, leaving a slight gap. Window controls were otherwise fine.
  2. Window rolled down slightly (normal) when opening the door, but did not roll back up when closing the door. Kept getting lower and lower after repeated door opening/closing.
I was able to close the window all the way by gently pushing on the window from the outside while a helper activated the window “up” control. I did this after the first incident as I suspected an alignment problem triggering the “pinch sensor” when the window encounters resistance from the top seals.

Interestingly, window function returned to normal after it closed all the way. This same technique “fixed” the window in the second incident, as well. I have a service appointment scheduled for this and other minor glitches (minor because things are back to normal and it doesn’t affect my driving.)

This is what Chat GPT says

If your right front window on the Lucid Gravity is now completely non-responsive (not moving at all), this is likely beyond just calibration. Here’s how I’d approach it quickly and systematically:

🔧 Step 1 — Rule out simple lockout / software glitch

  • Check the driver door window lock button (child lock)
  • Try the window from:
    • Driver master switch
    • Passenger door switch
  • If both don’t work → likely power/module issue

🔄 Step 2 — Try a soft reboot (very common fix on Lucid)

Lucid vehicles can glitch like a tablet.

  • Hold both steering wheel scroll buttons for ~15–20 seconds
  • Let the system reboot fully
  • Re-test the window

⚡ Step 3 — Hard reset (if soft reset fails)

  • Exit vehicle
  • Lock it
  • Walk away with key/phone for ~10–15 minutes (let systems sleep)
  • Return and retry

🔁 Step 4 — Attempt recalibration (only if it moves slightly)

If the window shows any movement at all:

  • Use manual (half press) only
  • Down → hold 10 sec
  • Up → hold 10 sec

If there’s zero movement, skip this — calibration won’t work.

🚨 Step 5 — Likely causes (based on your symptom)

If it’s completely dead:

  • Window motor failure
  • Door control module issue
  • Wiring harness in door (common stress point)
  • Software module freeze (less likely if reboot didn’t fix)

🧠 What matters clinically (your style of thinking)

  • Moves but reverses → calibration / pinch sensor
  • Moves intermittently → regulator/motor beginning to fail
  • No movement at all → power/module/motor

🛠️ What I would do next

Since you’re in Suffolk and have a new Gravity:

👉 This is under warranty — don’t chase it too long

  • Schedule Lucid Service via app
  • Note: “Right front window nonfunctional — no response from master or local switch

What do you mean with unvetted?
Lucid had time to address the nuisance AIR issues that Gravity has… continued FOB issues… for 120K… these issues should never occur…

ChatGPT has a mix of good information and bad information. The “calibration procedure” is most likely a hallucination based on other cars that doesn’t apply to the Gravity.

Also, can we stay on topic and not turn this into yet another discussion on pros/cons of Lucid and a $100k car?

The pinch sensor was my guess but doesn't explain the lack of dropping down to open. We thought the back driver's side was stuck and wouldn't open; turns out, it's the glass in the rubber gasket as the glass doesn't drop 100% of the time.

The window .. the window controller button. Does not work on the driver side or passenger side. So I assume that it is a motor or window module problem

I did a car the Reset twice And now right front window Works…. No longer sticking…

🙏🏽

Same mess with my driver side window - wouldn't close. Lucid had to change out the motor. Now it's a little goofy now and then -- but seems okay,

Mine works now… just by resetting the car…
🙏🏽

How did you reset your car?is it discribed in the manual?

I pushed…. Brake /microphone and X simultaneously until it said reboot on my screen. But it uses says release break, and then it takes about a minute or two the screen goes black and then resets everything. I exited the car lock. The car walked away at least 100 feet away, then came back and opened the car and the windows worked.

If you're REAL lucky, that will work. That's the good ol' "hard reset" that is the X, microphone and brake all pressed at the same time and released when it says to do so. I'm sure I've done that 100 times by now.

I see…. Well my Gravity goes into service next week….
Rear set inspection…
Have U have your rear seat belt inspected yet?

Nope -- didn't know there was a recall on the rear seat belts. Guess Lucid didn't get around to telling me out here in Annapolis, MD!
