Anyone have success with gravity test drives? I'm not talking about the one day in your city opportunity that I couldn't make back in May.

Still waiting for any update here in NYC but having to plan contingencies if my gravity order doesn't materialize by the time this lease extension is up in late September. I figure a good test drive would help tide us over from making any rash decisions on a Rivian or Cadillac

I did one in White Plains as part of the tour in May, but still not Gravity here in the Manhasset studio on Long Island

Don't be too hasty! I hope you can find one to test drive soon!

Just did one yesterday in Southern California. This time I got to be a passenger, and checked the trays on the second row while the car was in motion. Works well and isn't wobbly at all, however if the driver takes a harder corner turn devices like phones or tablets will slide off the notched plastic area since the plastic is slick. They should put a rubber insert into that slot for more grip on the device, but you can of course do that with aftermarket parts. Or you can have a suction mount which will also work.

Some quick thoughts: The 2nd row lights have a dimmer functionality. Also the screen that controls AC was very responsive. The 2nd row windows can only go down roughly half of the window height. Lots of legroom and the third row is still massive, easily bigger than the R1S.

One interesting thing is that the SA seemed confused there wasn't carplay in the Gravity yet. She said she got to try it at the last auto show and it worked well. Maybe a beta build was shown there? Or perhaps she was confused. TBD

The Seattle studio if not already should have a Gravity for demo drive within a few days.

Honestly, I can't imagine anything in a test drive that would cause me to change my mind. Every drive review raves about it.

I just wanna see one in person, sit in it, play with the seats, etc. I know that isn't gonna change my mind either, but I'll save the first drive like it's Christmas morning. 😎

Call up the studio. If you're a Gravity reservation holder they will do test drives for you before its open to general public. Provided they have a test drive car...

I’ve test driven Gravity twice (have a DE on order). Once at Natick Mass the day they got the test drive GGT available, and once in Burlington Mass. it’s definitely worth it to do a test drive. The Natick one had the HUD which I’m glad I got to see and confirmed it’s worth waiting for. Its blind spot alert is really IMO an important safety feature. Both GGT I test drove had spectacular driving dynamics, probably also the easiest vehicle to park I’ve ever driven, not even exaggerating.

How in-the-way are the A pillars? That seems to be one of the few negatives.

I didn't find them any worse than the Air. But they can cause a bit of an issue, to be sure. People always complain about the thickness, but I think it's the angle that causes the biggest issue. The price you pay for optimizing aerodynamics, I guess.

Where in So Cal?

I saw one down here in the Lucid charger section of the Brickell City Centre parking garage on Saturday, presumably for test drives.

First time seeing it in person and it’s much less mini van-ish in person compared to some pics I’ve seen. Impressive looking.

I feel like the Air’s ones cause more view obstruction but maybe that’s an illusion from the higher driving position. Overall Gravity visibility is better than Air, but yeah maybe those A pillars at a certain angle could block your view of pedestrians on a sidewalk.

I did a walk-in test drive in Natick, MA yesterday with my wife. Great car.
Was their keyfob working yet or did they still have to use the keycard? I drove it the first day they had it so fob wasn’t working yet but I wondered if they had got it working.
