Ok, it's not what you think, it's not another complain about the software.
Last night I accidentally ran over a fresh roadkill skunk and the car immediately filled with burned rubber smell such that my wife considered walking the last mile, but ended up just holding her breath to almost fainting.
The car was left outside overnight and was put thru carwash in the morning. The smell is still present and quite notable.
Any tips on speeding up the de-skunking process, or just let it run its course?
Resale value just dropped faster than Lucid's stock 🤣
 
You could try an ozone treatment. I have heard it done on hotel rooms but you might want to check it out for a car. Make sure it is safe to do on the Gravity.

Ugh; sorry to hear this!

On our recent road trip I noticed that the Gravity picked up outside smells much faster than our Model X (my only point of comparison). I'm not sure if this is a difference in filtering technology or if the Gravity really prioritizes outside air changes, but it's annoying. The HVAC options are only "recirc" or "auto".... I hope this is addressed in a future update.

I do. (Is it not standard?) I think it's a gimmick, but it would be nice to have a "bad smells outside" button for the Gravity.
 
I think on the X and S yeah it might be standard. It’s more than a gimmick, with a big HEPA filter in addition to the regular cabin air filter. It’s supposed to seal it up
pretty good from outside smells.

I've used it for that purpose a handful of times, and it is definitely effective.
 
While the smell is dissapating over time, it should help if you turn off the outside air button.

...or you can just give your Gravity to me. I have a cold and stuffy nose.
 
Try Ozium air sanitizer spray. It doesn’t just mask the odor but binds to them to remove the smell. It works exceptionally well.
 
How about spreading out a ton of fabric softener sheets over the floor and taping one over each air vent?
 
I wouldn't bother doing anything inside the car, that isn't the origin of the funk. You need to clean the skunk juice from the inner fenders or wherever it is on the outside of the car. It might even be a "wheels off" sort of thing to really get in there.

Lucid doesn't specify, that I could find, what kind of cabin filters they use, only that there are two of them. I'm assuming they are at least HEPA equivalent. maybe it's in the service manual.

I have "active ion filtration" in my Land Rover, similar to what Tesla uses I'd guess; along with PM2.5 monitoring. the latter is intersting to use when we get smoke from forest fires.

kinda sucks that "compromising nothing" with Lucid doesn't extend to cabin filtration in the Gravity it seems. or they just don't make a big deal of it.

I'm happy to report that 3 days and 3 car washes later the smell is almost gone.
Thanks for all the suggestions, especially for Ozium, I'm keeping it handy for any future incidents.

Tesla makes a big deal about biohazard mode and HEPA air filters. I hadn’t thought about this for my Gravity and it would be a nice feature to have. I doubt it would have helped with the skunk smell, though.

I wonder if HEPA filtration was a trade-off decision or an oversight. I like that Lucid has a “compromise nothing” culture, so maybe this can be addressed in the next iteration.

I am not sure why people are thinking that Gravity does not have a HEPA filter like the Air does. I do not know the specs on the two air filters in Gravity, but I would be surprised if they were not HEPA filters.
