Gravity slows down to exit ramp speed when I stay on the highway.

When I drive past an exit on the highway while using dream drive, my car slows down to the exit speed. This bug needs to be fixed. Any details about this would be appreciated.

Mine does this too, almost caused an accident and scared the crap out of me the first time it did it. There is a spot on the freeway here where it does it to me every time.

Turn off automatic speed adjustment.

Yes, apparently the current version of DDP can’t tell the difference between white regular speed limit signs and yellow exit speed limit signs. It treats the exit limit signs as if they were regular limit signs and immediately tries to reduce speed, quite often from 70+ down to 35. As stated, this can be very dangerous and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Until then you need to disable automatic speed adjustment.

My 5 year old Mercedes has no problem with this and in fact newer Mercedes will display both the highway speed limit and exit speed limit on the dash to show it has detected and differentiated both.

Funny you mention that, it took an off ramp at 70mph and didn’t slow down automatically. Would have plowed into a line of cars, so I just quit using it.

i have noted the same thing, but i haven’t been using speed adjustment. the display merely shows that i’m over the limit. i can ignore it, but it’s annoying.

however, on my way home from the supermarket, i drive through a park where the speed limit is 15 mph. the display shows that accurately. then i pass a black-and-white speed limit sign that reads 15 mph. half the time, the car reads it as 45 mph and displays that. 100 yards later, a black-on-yellow caution sign advises 15 mph, and the display goes back to 15 mph. i find these behaviors weird.

I had to turn off automatic speed adjustment with the 3.5.1 update, while I had it enabled for the previous versions. We can only hope it gets fixed in the next release.

My 2023 Genesis GV60P shows me the speed limit in my HUD. It doesn't display dual speed limits but even I am capable of noticing that i need to step on the accelerator if the car starts to slow down or displays a 35 mph speed limit when I am driving on the highway. That has never happened to me, by the way.

School zones do play havoc with my GPS. there is one place on my way to my golf club where there is a Montesorri school and a sign that says 25 mph between 7:30-8:30 AM and 2:30-3:30 PM. The regular speed limit is 35 mph. Week days only. My car ignores the limitation and thinks that 25 mph is the speed limit until I get back to a 35 mph sign. What bugs me is not that the ADAS has trouble with school zones; it is that drivers have problems with school zones. The law is clear, at least in Arizona. once one passes the intersection, the speed limit reverts to the standard but most drivers think it continues to exist until one passes the sign for cars coming in the other direction.

We do still have to drive our cars.

I also had the exit ramp speed change issue and turned off the auto speed adjust. Now if I turn on dream drive it defaults to my current speed and I can adjust it myself from there.
