Gravity production issues mean we don't get our $7500 credit?

We placed our order mid-Sept and were told to expect an early Nov build.
I just got a message from our SA that our car won't start building until next year, and so we won't get the $7500 credit.

It's not our fault Lucid couldn't produce the car in time; Wife wants to cancel the order. Any way to raise this up the Lucid chain?

Just got a call - there's a car that's close enough, but it doesn't start production until Dec 9, making EOY delivery a close call. We switched into that and we'll see what happens.

According to this post, Lucid is extending the $7500 "Lucid Advantage" credit (which mimics the Federal tax credit for leasing) through March 2026. They could easily do the same for your order---although the SA almost certainly lacks the authority to do so themselves.

Furthermore, there is nothing in the IRS guidance that says the $7500 Federal tax credit for leasing expires at the end of this year (as long as you ordered by September 30th, 2025). For now, it is only Lucid that is saying that.

All in all, it seems likely to me that you could still get the credit (in some form) even if the vehicle you ordered isn't delivered until next year. But I expect the SA would prefer to have you order from inventory, instead, so that the delivery counts toward the year-end sales target.

According to Reuters both GM and Ford ended offerring the tax credit for vehicles ordered by September 30th after being pressured by a Senator -

"GM opted to kill the program after concerns were raised about it by Republican Senator Bernie Moreno of Ohio, a former car dealer who is active in auto policy, a person briefed on the matter told Reuters."

We applied for the lease, got approved, and accepted. We're going ahead - even though our Model X's FSD is behaving really really well. Lucid can thank Elon's craziness for this sale.
I'm just hoping the software won't be too bad and that Dream Drive Pro will do well on freeways, which is mostly what we need it for.

As a first time Lucid owner with an ordered car (not from inventory), I don’t know of other discounts.
