Yep, I run recommended pressure.Sorry I meant are you running the same tire pressures as the recommended setting for the 22/23 stock setup?

I am using Michelin All Season 4. Work wellIt's nearly fall and I'll be switching the Hankooks out for a 3PMSF rated A/S like Michelin CC2 or Vredestein Quatrac Pro for winter soon. I drive from sea level up to Tahoe a bunch so don't want/need a dedicated winter tire like Nokian or the Lucid approved Hankook i-Cept evo's.
I'll report back when I get the new meats on
Tires are most important. I’m in NYC so no crazy elevation. I had dedicated winter tires on the last car for peace of mind but never really had to push them.Hmmm...Love me some Michelins but I'm not seeing 265/50 R20 or 285/45 R21 as an available size for those Pilot Sport EV's on Tire Rack (I do see Cross Climate 2's...??) and aren't they a summer tire?
Also, the A/S 4's are NOT severe snow rated... so, WADR, in a 6000lb vehicle I'm not sure I'm comfortable going with a non 3PMSF rated tire over Carson Spur (elev. 8,290ft), Echo Summit (elev. 7,377ft), or even Donner Pass (elev. 7,227ft) etc.. when it's dumping. Catching the good powder means driving in that stuff, often the night before.
Tires matter!
Might be a decent summer replacement for the HankooksMichelin Pilot 4 SUV does exist for stock 20/21” at TireRack.
Have to search on size at a time.
Gravity won’t handle worse at 45F on dedicated summer tires vs hanflopsMight be a decent summer replacement for the Hankooks
The problem here is it's 45* at 7am and 75* by 3pm so you gotta be careful in the morning on curvy roads w/ dedicated summer tires
In my experience, there is always a stickier tire vs oem and I have replaced tires on all my cars within first month. We all need different things and traction is a priority for me.Agreed they're "just the tires that came on the car"...no way there's not a better choice out there

I am nowhere near an ultimate performance nudger, but I always plan for worst case scenario as 828HP does not take very long to get you in trouble.Lucid does extensive testing to choose the OEM tires on its cars. They probably are, in fact, the best choice . . . but only the best choice for the specific goals Lucid was chasing for that particular wheel and trim level. And there's the rub for any manufacturer's OEM tire choice.
In the case of the Hankooks on the 21" wheels, it was efficiency above all else. In the case of the Michelin Primacy A/S, it seems to be low noise and all-season traction. In the case of the Pirellis, it was optimum warm-weather wet and dry control for aggressive driving (but something short of the limits that @037 probably routinely nudges).
This is SO hella true!!828HP does not take very long to get you in trouble.
This ^ is exactly how I feel every second I'm driving downhill around icy curves in the mountainsI like to know that I have a huge margin of safety in case I end up doing something I might regret, in the moment
I am trying to match Cayenne stopping distance on the next tire update, it’s running 295/325 and my 275/295 aren’t quite there, maybe 275/315 will do it as it’s a non EV specific tire with less weight. For those who like some inspo
Or ideas for tires, The Cayenne EV has PZero R EV summer tires, seems like a next level/gen...
We have similar concerns about traction in the snow, as I live up here in Tahoe City. I know that I could probably get better results by swapping rubber each spring and fall, but in recent years I've been running the CrossClimate 2 all year round. That's worked out well for me, but on a Highlander, which doesn't come anywhere close to the Gravity's power. Or its weight.Might be a decent summer replacement for the Hankooks
