Our first long trip in our Gravity brought us from Virginia to Savannah, Ga. Everything worked great, including charging, EXCEPT for DreamDrive Pro. I'm fine with the very limited functionality, essentially a cruise control that won't run over the vehicle in front. It's nice to set the speed at the speed limit + 9 (or whatever you like). HOWEVER, it reads far more than just the speed limit signs. Driving on Interstate 95, traveling at 79 mph, when the vehicle reads an exit ramp speed limit of 40mph, and our Gravity suddenly slows to 49. Yikes - this is dangerous! It does it repeatedly, dropping the cruise control speed to 25, 40, 45 or whatever it sees from the exit ramp. Not every single time but way too many times. It's really a nuisance, almost makes the cruise control unusable.

Is there a way to turn off the auto reading of the speed limit signs? Any other solutions/suggestions?

I still love this vehicle, we just need more software updates!!

That's been discussed several time on the forums. It's crazy that Lucid hasn't gotten addressed it but yes, turn off the speed limit setting. The camaras pick up too much. I've had this issue in other cars too which use cameras for speed limits, but they don't have their cruise control go by the speed limit.

Until Lucid gets this fixed, this “feature” is a major hazard and it is just a matter of time before it causes an accident, especially with someone using high regen.

Yeah I turned mine off, especially since one of the updates fixed the left pad control for adjusting speed with 99% accuracy and response...

Agree, turned mine off, which puts you in control.

This speed “adjustment feature” also kicks in when it reads a speed changes in its database. It’s GPS based, but you’d think they would take vehicle direction and position into account. Staying in the left lane sometimes helps in it not reading the exit ramp speed limit sign.

I’ve had it change from 75mph to 35mph in some stretches of I10 between Tucson and Phoenix. This was at sections of the highway that had been rerouted more than 5 years ago. My Tesla with FSD also does that, but because this is a database speed change it just merrily goes along driving with the flow of traffic.

Even in my neighborhood, where the speed limit is 20 mph, it will speed up to 25 miles an hour in certain sections. My Tesla also does that too, but it doesn’t abruptly change speed, since this was a database speed change and not signage.

Glad I opted for DDPrem and saved the dough and the hassle!

My blind spot cameras work great.

ACC works too but don't use it much with such precise control of the vehicle with OPD it's just too much fun to drive it myself ;)

Turn off automatic speed adjustment and DDPro works great for highway driving. I use it all the time (most highway driving is boring) and have probably logged over 5K miles using DDPro, from heavy rush-hour traffic to wide-open highway.

We had it set to keep our set speed instead of auto-adjusting to (what it thinks is) the posted speed limit since the beginning. How badly it reads speed limits depends a lot on the highway. Exit ramp speeds often get read inadvertently. We have use DD2Pro quite a bit in this mode; perhaps 30 hours or so. It feels like a feature worth paying for already and I look forward to the enhancements they have planned.
