Gravity DE Arbitration Victory

I posted my VIN for my 2026 DE Gravity , it’s 7UUG1DKJ3TA001554

I have had my Lucid Gravity for almost one year (October 14th 2025) I have had a few software bugs, and on occasion still get them. However, this is a beautiful car and an absolute pleasure to drive. NO REGRETS WHAT SO EVER. Do I wish it was easier to contact the service center without the need to get the personal phone number of the representative, but it is a great number to have and honey tastes a lot better than P & vinegar. Life is to short...

It is concerning that owners who experience persistent issues with their Lucid vehicles often fail to disclose the VINs, leaving potential buyers in this forum unable to identify and avoid purchasing those specific pre-owned units, particularly regarding the Dream Edition.
When a manufacturer buys back a lemon, the state DMV brands the title as a "Lemon Law Buyback" or similar designation. This status is permanent and cannot be legally removed.

Many states (such as CA) require a physical warning decal to be placed on the vehicle, usually on the door frame or door post, identifying it as a buyback.

On top of that, sellers and dealers must provide written disclosure to the buyer detailing the vehicle's past defects and the repairs that were made.

Correct. here it says "manufacturer buyback". There is no way you will accidentally buy a lemon.
No necessarily , in the way they do some of these arbitration hearings it made it sound more of a good will to offer a lease end and reimbursement of all payments. I’ve been Googling my VIN to see where it pops up for sale. I ran the report and it shows titled in AZ , likely being used internally now as a demo car or loaner? The title is not branded buy back.

  • Range issue: I’m consistently getting ~170–180 miles real-world on an 80% charge vs ~340 expected
  • Safety systems: Front/rear protection engages even when there’s no obstacle
  • TPMS: Incorrect tire pressure warnings even when all tires are at proper PSI
  • Auto park: Not reliable at all
  • Mobile key / Bluetooth: Car doesn’t unlock unless I manually open the app and reconnect
  • Android Auto: Slow and inconsistent

These are not “ real issues” ….just a reflection of your expectations which don’t seem to be realistic. You won’t get a lemon for this.
😂. I was going to say the same thing. A lot of this looks like user error.

Does Lucid blacklist customers who do a lemon law buyback like Tesla does? IOW, you could never buy new from them again?
IF the customer is abusive, hostile or harassing the company or individuals the company can end the relationship and “fire” the customer. Social (DL#) & Info is input into a case and held on file in the Customer Retention & Risk Legal database that flags them as a risk and to not do business. Customer will get a legal document in the mail explaining the decision.

They don’t have too, the NHSTA will flag the VIN after it has been declared Lemon or BB. It will show on carfax as well.

Hopefully, it is back at the factory in Casa Grande so that they can take a deep dive into the car and find out why it behaved as it did. Personally, my 2022 Air GT has been remarkably trouble free. Other than the few recalls which were promptly applied, I have had NO mechanical or electrical issues. I upgraded to CCV v2 for snappier UI performance. Now 71,000 miles into the jouney and loving my Lucid as much as when I picked it up new in May 2022.

so many problems seem to be with the 25-26's. You never hear of older Airs having all these stupid problems.

That's very unfortunate. Lucid should have kept up the quality controls. Hopefully, this will be fixed for the 2027 model year. If that's the only change, it would be welcome. I am curious if the 2025-26 issues were concentrated by trim. Pure vs Touring vs Grand Touring?

i think firing the head of quality and basically everything else sent a pretty strong signal

Agreed. Lucid needs to get the basics right -- Quality control, customer service and keeping promises. Then hopefully the future willl be bright.

Not everyone that has problems with there cars goes that route 90% of the time they take the lost and move on because is easer or faster to do that instead of dealing with lawyers and car manufacture. Then the next person that buys it from dealer used doesn't know that car ia a lemon .All brands have there problems.

I did once look at a used Audi Etron GT RS. Asked the local dealer to pull the service records for me and it was….enormous. They told me “..don’t buy that one…” 😂

That’s why I never buy a used car.
