Gravity (DE) Problems

I hope it’s okay to just post my big list of everything that has been bothering me with this car. I guess I’m hoping for catharsis. I spoke to Tech Support today to complain about just the couple of most important problems, and they had my local (Beverly Hills) service center call me, and of course there are no answers or timeline for fixing anything. Coming from 12 years of Tesla ownership (Model S, Model X, Model S Plaid), maybe I am just expecting too much?

Starting the Car

• Sometimes the fob will not be able to start the car at all.
• Sometimes takes a minute or more just for the car to boot up and allow driving.
• The screens often remain black for an extended period of time during and after booting up the car, with audio and climate doing whatever they want and no way to adjust them.
• The HVAC almost always blows freezing cold air while the car is booting up. When the controls are finally available, if I turn off the climate system and then turn it right back on, it will behave normally.

Car Height

• The doors scrape almost every curb. It is criminally low. I would not have bought it if I had noticed this problem. Today, I wasn’t able to even get out of the car without repositioning it away from the curb.
• Sometimes, inconsistently, you can’t change ride height when you stop the car. (Which is when I need it because I am letting someone out of the car.)

Controls

• The HomeLink® garage open/close doesn't always work. Sometimes it works with a single touch, sometimes I have to press it 4 times.
• How do you quickly hang up a phone call using the car’s controls?
• When you press the hard toggle button to adjust the temperature, the rectangular pop-up display blocks the button you are most likely to want to use immediately after: the climate control (fan icon) button.
• Volume control on the steering wheel sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. Sometimes both volume indicators display when you use one of the volume controls, and sometimes only one or none display.

Other Annoyances

• Why so few functions allowed for the custom buttons??
• Make it easier to switch between sources like Bluetooth and Sirius – check out how Tesla does it.
• Nice charging kit/bag ALMOST fits really nicely, but does not fit, in nook on the side of the trunk. Missed opportunity.
• It should warn you when you drive off, leaving the charging port door open accidentally.
• Charging limit (amperage) is sometimes not being remembered.
• Remember areas where I raised the suspension height
• Auto wipers do not wipe frequently enough
• Key doesn’t work from far away – can’t use the fob to pop the trunk until you are almost standing next to the car. Not good for grocery shopping!
• The microphone is apparently way too quiet or something because everyone I call says they can’t hear me.
