Gravity Bugs / Issues

Look, I don't know how to tell you this man, but I'm seeing one common denominator between your hair catching fire, your gravity catching dementia, the plague of alligators constantly descending upon your home...

Maybe you should see a "doctor" and get sage smudged or something?

Our house has been hit by lightning, too. As I noted before, when the nearby sand quarries got flooded out during our construction, they had to bring in landfill from a backup quarry at Ave Maria University. I'm sure that's where it all began.

Just sayin' . . . .

Experiencing a new bug the last few days. So the car has gone through multiple sleep cycles etc…

The navigation system appears to have a software glitch. When the vehicle starts, navigation automatically resumes with the previously used destination, even though that destination had already been reached. I confirmed that navigation showed the trip as completed and was turned off before exiting the vehicle. However, upon reentering, the system restarts navigation to the prior destination.

I was following our first Gravity this morning and noticed something hanging under the car. When I got home I found this:

It was a piece of the underbody pan that had come loose ahead of the right rear suspension and well inboard of the wheel. I don't think it's in a location where something could have hit it without doing damage elsewhere.

I get it. But I also think they ought to offer current owners a second fob. It might buy them quite a lot of goodwill as they work through the issues.
2nd fob does really add much value for me since I’m the only driver. And I’m not planning to hold 2 keys in my pocket.

Currently my #1 issue by far is the HVAC - it drives me bonkers constantly.

Still getting hurricane winds from the dash vents on entry if i do any pre-conditioning of the temp by app. When I enter the car and try to adjust it takes a very long time to lower the speed and change. Most of the time I have to turn it on and off a few times and toggle various vent options before it quiets down. It's audible assault on my ears at the speeds it insists on blowing. Often there is a prolonged whistling from the dash vents. I have to toggle on off various vent options until this stops as well. When it switches to forward blowing vents it is inexplicably cold air despite being set to 72 and it being 45 degrees outside.

When driving in fog inducing temps I have to contend with LOUD defogging which then also makes the cabin crazy warm within minutes. Keeping any of the defrosting vents on is insufferably loud even when not on the pure defrost mode. Turning them off results in fogging within a few minutes. Back and forth manipulation constantly on a recent 2.5 hour drive .

The HVAC logic needs a LOT of work.

Completely agree on HVAC logic is a train wreck and one of my biggest issues. Every car I have had for past 25+ years has had a very good functioning AUTO setting for their HVAC. For those cars I rarely ever touch the AC controls except occasionally to do small up/down bumps of temp. If it was cold outside, that system knew to send air to feet and defrost (not to my chest). This avoided getting hit in chest with cold air as the system took time to warm up. If it was warm outside, air switch’s to chest vents. I can’t remember the last time I had to hit the defrost button on previous cars as the system did it automatically. With Gravity, I have had to manually defrost on at least 6 occasions over past month. With Gravity I have to dive into the HVAC setting at almost every drive session. It absolutely refuses to stay on the AUTO setting (which I had set during previous session.) Which I guess is OK since if it is cold outside, AUTO will default to sending air to chest unless you ramp the temp up to 78 or higher.

Thank god Lucid stuck with old fashion manual vent position controls instead of forcing you to adjust these via infotainment like so much of competition.

yeah…it’s pretty crazy. The car has basic Tesla autopilot yet can’t even control the HVAC correctly.

Yeah, that's why I suggest just that they offer them to people, rather than blinding distributing them. Those who have two drivers might appreciate them each having a fob linked to their profile, but I imagine there are quite a few people in your situation.

I got the loud whistling also! I thought it was just my car!

This is more of an annoyance than a bug, but I would really appreciate if the homelink pop up was smaller or did not pop up again after you close the screen. I open my garage door and as I try to input destination address and it keeps popping up until I am 50 or so feet away. Mini activate pop up like Mr. Elon cars please and thank you.

We haven't talked about this issue since September, so I'm going to bump it back up....

On our 3500 mile road trip I can confirm this exact behavior (again) for both the driver and front passenger seats, on 3.3.20. Back in September I speculated it might be some odd overheat protection, but it's hard to make a case for that.

After a long period of time, the rolling-style massage modes always stop. They're still on, but nothing happens. Every 5 minutes or so the left middle "knob" give a little bump like it's saying "I'm still here!" but otherwise there's nothing.

Has anyone reported this to service? Have you gotten a response? In a world of weird Gravity glitches, this remains one of the weirdest...
I have this and mentioned to the service center…I was told they could not recreate the issue. I contend they never tried as it happens every time I use it in under 30 minutes of use. The 2nd and 4th options will work but those are the two I don’t care for and options 1, 3, and 5 say they are on but cannot feel anything.

Yesterday after locking the car I noticed the front passenger handle did not retract. Have done full reset and let it sleep overnight. No joy. Tech has been notified.

Here is one, from the API.
Field 1, interior_temp: 14.800001412630081<br> Field 2, exterior_temp: 0.8000006079673767 deg c (33.4 DEG F); I drove around for an hour in Chicago area where it's 11 deg f out and the car inside on the screen never went below 26 Deg F. It's definintely 20 Deg F colder outside than the car thinks.

which cars are you talking about, I always had to press the dfrost button.

Mercedes, BMW, Audi. By defrost, I am talking about the auto setting, when in heating mode, directs some of the heated airflow up to top of dash vents. This is not a heavy blast but for the typical Houston winter morning of temps in the 40s, that is enough to keep windows from fogging. I know if you get super cold temps down in the teens/20s that you might have to hit the defrost button.

Funny thing, yesterday with a cold snap hitting here in Houston got in car and checked HVAC settings and it was miraculously sending heated air to feet and upper dash like it should. No new software updates in over a month. So the HVAC logic seems to be totally random from one drive to another.

I really just wish the buttons would work properly. As in when you press them, they initiate a programmed function.
Mine has gotten so bad, that I would settle for "within 5 presses" at this point.
