Still hoping for better built-in center console cupholders. Getting a standard Yeti tumbler in/out of those grips is like pulling teeth.
 
Yeah, it's not obvious from the screenshots but these trays are actually made out of a hardened rubber and *not* plastic as I originally assumed.
 
They are actually made from flexible silicone with enough mass to make them feel durable. Now that I've seen then installed, I really like them. The cup holder fits very snuggly and does not feel like it would shift on its own.
 
I ordered the crossbars at the same time as the console pieces and they both arrived yesterday. Either they have the revised crossbars in the store but haven't updated the site or I received some of the older ones. I only need one, which I am mounting my Starlink to for trips through Michigan's Upper Peninsula (no cell coverage for the most part), so it doesn't have to support or hold on to a roof top carrier and the associated weight. Not expecting to worry about torquing the crossbar hard enough to cause damage to the roof.

On road trips, I mount mine to the inside rear window. Seems to work well enough there.

Yes, I think those flexible fins on the sides will really keep the cupholder insert anchored. They are angled in such a way that they should keep the insert from lifting out if you're pulling a tight cup from the holder.

These bento boxes are the third Gravity accessory we've bought, the others being the folding frunk storage bins and the sunshades. All three, plus the frunk seats that were included with our Dream Editions, are of very high quality. I'm quite impressed with all of them.

I have a full size and mounted it to the roof of a metal roofed car last year with suction cups. For those that would try that, be aware the suction cups do not hold above 92! I now have one antenna and two of everything else. 😇 One roof bar should work fine.

I love your setup however and will try a similar thing with standard size antenna before I put the bar on. I'd much prefer it was on the inside for no wind noise. I just have to see if the rear window is big enough. That kind of experimenting is delayed until temperatures in the Motor City get back up to "spending meaningless time outside degrees" - and we're a month away from that...

I'm told the metal strips prevent a good signal. I will try it anyway, when it gets warmer and closer to my Upper Peninsula trip

There's some sort of metallic content in the glass tinting that interferes with the signal. That's a somewhat common problem. I've run into the same problem with some Las Vegas hotel windows.

Others have reported the same problem. Even the clear dash part of the windshield won't work. Only the side windows.

What are the top-side dimensions on that (and the height)? If I got them I'd need 2 since we always road trip with 2 people. But there's only about 8" of clearance between sliding the upper tray forward and keeping the armrest down. Looks like it would be really close as to whether 2 Yeti cups would fit in 2 of those holders.

Maybe I'll wait and see if they make one that's 1/2 as much wider with 2 cup holes at diagonal positions to save space.

As it happens, I ordered two sets of bento boxes for our two Gravities.

Here is how two of the cupholder inserts fit. The second photo shows them with two oversize glasses in them. The glasses are not as wide as Big Gulp cups, but they are too large to fit in the upper cupholders that come standard with the car. There was room to spare with the upper-level sliding tray pushed all the way forward and the armrest closed. You might even be able to get a couple of Big Gulps in the lower holders if you separate the inserts from each other a bit.
