It’s karma! Mine was actually extremely reliable while everyone else was having issues. When they did the big update to resolve the key fob issues then while everyone else was cheering I started noticing weirdness. Has been sporadic ever since.

There's a campaign to replace fobs. Service tech replaced mine proactively at an unrelated visit.

Already gone through that campaign along with the one to check the NFC reader.
 
Not helpful I know, but for a balanced perspective on this, my fob has been 100% fine.

On my Air, I can lock with any door, front or back. But unlock only works on the front doors.

So your view doesn’t look like this?
The rear curb being misaligned, basically attached to the car, doesn’t really help when determining how far you are from the curb. Same with the front.

So far mine has always locked on walkaway, but the distance really varies. Today I was quite a ways away and I was in the process of pulling out my phone to lock it when I saw the mirrors finally fold in.

Still no locking chirp either. I was hoping they'd slip that into 3.5.1. Such a simple thing but REALLY helpful when there's a lack of dependability on walkaway lock like this.

Same here so far, though it's only been a week

I do notice that you need to be patient with it. Sometimes I click to unlock as I'm walking toward it and it takes like over 5sec to respond

If I'm not sure it locked on walk-away and I click the lock button the vehicle does emit a chirp sound

No, mine does not look like that. Weird!! I've not had a problem - aw s**t, just jinxed myself, I bet... :(

Well now that you've said it, that just means the buttons will fall off within 24 hrs. :)

I’ve put around 4000 miles on the Gravity since this update. I’m very happy with how everything is performing. Apple CarPlay made these long drives more enjoyable. After the first day minor glitches, nothing new to report and those previous glitches never reoccurred. I did once have to start Electrify America charging via the Lucid App. Most importantly, my CFO (wife) now thoroughly enjoys traveling in the Gravity.

There is one drawback from these long trips. There was pure carnage! The design of the front of the Gravity is optimal for catching insects. My trips were all across the desert in springtime, which is high season for flying insects. I had to wash the Gravity after every trip due to the caked on layer of hundreds of dead bugs and butterflies. Took towels and cleaner with me so that I could clean the windshield at each charge stop. Pure carnage. Never had quite this issue with my Air.

This happened to us too traveling through the central valley in California. Quite the mess.

Same thing happened to our Macan last week. Caked with bugs driving down to the Gulf Coast thru TX and LA. I just ordered a gallon of bug remover, spray bottles, and bug sponges to keep in both cars. I always carry window cleaner, paper towels, and microfiber towels anyway, but this will add to the stash.

Transparency mode is off or you wouldn’t see the color of the car.
This was reversing, so hopefully I moved enough for the camera to see where I was.
