Hello Everyone!,

I took delivery on my Air G.T.P. a month ago on 07/08/2025.

  • I noticed a imperfection , scuff, or irregularity of appearance on the Rear Bow of the Glass Canopy in Platinum (center metal rear piece of Glass Roof structure between the left and right side roof Pillars going from back to front) when I got home after I took it off the lot on my .
  • I brought this up to Customer Care, and they said minor problem. I followed through with the Service Department appointment on 07/29/2025. The Service Department took a look at it and is saying this is not warranty-able as it has a scratch or their is outside influence. Sales did not go through the exterior of the car at all with me at time of Delivery and just brushed it taking my directly inside to setup my profile.
  • The service advisor did mention the other items should have been fixed before taking delivery and this should have been brought up to sales while Sales is going through the exterior with me at Delivery as the proper procedure.
  • I see other imperfection of overpaint / over spots on other Lucid Air's with Glass Canopy in Platinum. Thus every piece has imperfection. However mines is an imperfection of it being way under painted.

Would you all take a look at the picture and let me know what your thought is on this Rear Bow Piece?

I would raise the issue again with the service manager, or higher if needed.

That's what I thought too. I took delivery on 07/08/2025, I raised the issue to Customer Care on 07/09/2025. I took it to service on 07/29/2025 after babying it (I DID NOT Drive on any FREEWAY ONCE for the entire three weeks.) They come back and say some outside sourced scratched and touched it up. To me it just looks like there was not enough Paint curing on the Metal, which lead to this imperfect shape showing the metal veins.

Tell them you want the car just like BOFA wants used leased cars returned to them.

Hate to say it, but you probably shouldn't have taken delivery if these things were going to be a big deal for you. I know you said they "brushed it" during the delivery process but it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure you're getting what you paid for before closing the deal. Haggling with them after the fact will be an uphill battle.

I get that it's a uphill. I was excited at the time of delivery. With reading everyone's bright experience Lucid sales; I thought/expected they would be less despicable since their dealing with a more upscale audience but ultimately it's just the same as other auto sales. A big red flag should of been that the car was already outside ready to go.

On that day the Delivery Manager also said to "Just drive it and Enjoy the car"; "Customer care will take care of your concerns". Of course that was a "sales tactic" as this is just ultimately to rid their hands to avoid any responsibility for the car's imperfection and failures.

"Brushed it off" for me means he said the car was good and didn't bother going through the exterior with me at all and just pushed me inside the car.

I've caught the windshield crack on the spot; at first they denied it and said it was filled it to my face inside the car. I got out rubbed my finger on it and theyre's a crack / hole on the windshield. Thus they were held liable for the replacement.

I should of been more aware of their intentions and of course microscope the exterior throughout by ignoring any of their tactics to get me take the vehicle off the lot.

For anyone else out their taking of their vehicles; don't let them guide you want to do at Delivery inspect the entire exterior of your vehicle meticulously and point out ant flaws.
Then get inside inspect the interior ; from their you would finally proceed to setup your profile.

You might want to stop in one of the Lucid certified body shops in your area and see if they can carefully wet sand that edge and remove the build up, and then polish the area.

If this were my car, I'd honestly just let it go. There were a few spots like that on my DE and I was like...whatever.
