This is the first time I'm facing an issue, the drunk failed to close. This happened after I updated to software version 2.7.1. The sequence of events is simple, I left my drunk open for a long time. I can open and close the trunk.

Not sure if I am following - I might be one drunk 😎. If you keep your trunk open for a long time, you need to manually close it by pulling it down. I don't have an automatic frunk so not sure if it applies there.

What the heck, 😄😁😆 that auto correct killed it. My trunk failed to close. I can still open and close my trunk.

Try the following:
Go to the back of the car and press the button there to open the trunk. If it opens partially and you are able to press the INNER trunk button, press and hold it until it is all the way up. After it reaches its peak and stops, let go of the button and then just press it again. It should hopefully close fine now.

My apologies again, I think my fat fingers or my DRUNK is working. I'm able to open and close Trunk but my Frunk got stuck. I've tried resetting the car but nothing changed.

After reading another post, it looks this behavior is due to sensors losing the track of position of the trunk / frunk. The only way to get them working is to push them down to fully closed position. Make sure you push to fully closed lock position.

I tried this and now it's back to normal functioning.

Same, when i click to open the frunk, it de-latches and then shuts again. I have to click on the frunk button again for it to open. Frunk closes okay without an issue. This has been happening since I got my 2025 AT. Coldwater, MI service center said 'it's fixed' but it's still happening, my problem isn't related to software updates. (or so i think)

Mine does this about 50% of the time as well. "Pops" open but only makes it an inch before falling back into a semi-closed state (doesn't re-seal). Pressing the Open Frunk button a second time successfully opens it. Almost seems like an anti-collision function that's too sensitive. The resistance of the weather stripping or the pistons is enough to make it think "Oh, something is in the way. Reverse course."

This same logic appears to apply to the Close Frunk process, as OP and I have both experienced. It'll start closing, make it maybe 10% of the way, then immediately stop and return to the open position. I've had to override this a handful of times by manually shutting it.

Contrarily, the trunk has been 100% reliable for me.
