Had my Chargepoint installed late yesterday. Plugged in my week old AT for it's first at home charge. Scheduled it to start after midnight. Well...it didn't. I actually woke up around 3am (don't ask) and looked. So...looked at Chargepoint app in the HOME tab and selected "Start Charge" and it started charging. When it hit 80% it did stop and the Chargepoint app now says "Charging Complete".

So...What state does the Chargepoint need to be in? Do I need to schedule the Chargepoint to "wake up and charge" just before midnight? I thought my Lucid would just pull the charge when she woke up...

Also...when it stopped at 80%, my charge read 346 miles. If you do the math, that would mean my full range is 432.5 miles. That's quite a bit more than I expected :)

If you are not using the scheduling on the chargepoint, then it should start to charge at the time the lucid is set.
When you plug in, does the car say "cable attached" or "charging scheduled"
It should say charging scheduled if you are not using Chargepoint scheduling.

I will double check when I reset for tonight. I'm wondering if a test I did earlier in the day might have affected things. Here's what I did earlier:
  1. Plugged the car in around 3:45pm
  2. Set the car to start charging at 4pm
  3. Car started charging as expected at 4pm (successful test...or so I thought)
  4. Stopped the charge from Lucid app manually.
  5. Reset the Time to Charge to midnight
I'm thinking maybe the fact that I don't think I unplugged the car after the first charge, it may have messed with the updated charging schedule. Perhaps the next best step is to plug in tonight and will definitely confirm it says "charging Scheduled". Hopefully it was a glitch caused by my earlier test, without "resetting" via unplug/replug.

Use the schedule on Lucid and not from CP. it’s known that Lucid has difficulty in following schedule that is set by CP. I do have CP and it starts as it is scheduled.

This was very likely the problem. When you do it tonight, make sure the app says charging scheduled. I have not had any problems with scheduled charging when I do not do anything like change charge limit or time after plugging in. Plugging in should be your last step if you are making other changes to charge settings.

I have CP also and I have free electricity from 8pm through 5am so I plug in my car after I come home from work at say 6pm and have the car scheduled setup to start at 8.05pm. It usually finishes by 11pm and I go and unplug it before going to bed. Do not use scheduling functions from CP and rely only on the Lucid for scheduling and you'll be fine.

Perfect. Thank you! Will try tonite!

post back how you do. I too have CP for a few years and new lucid. Take all the schedules off CP and schedule only through Lucid. Once Lucid knows it has power at the plug, it'll be fine but it gets really confused without that, illogically so.

Ok..."Charging Scheduled". So far so good 😁.

Keeping my fingers crossed that I have good news to report tomorrow. Thanks again all.

Fyi cp side scheduled charging works now and you can take advantage of the start and stop times. Still need scheduled charging from the car but the car now will recognize it's still connected and turn on at the scheduled time and the cp will turn off at the scheduled time.

Since when? Just curious since that didn't work 2 months ago. Do you know min software version for the car and cp for that? Had my cp for a few years and lucid was new in Dec. Only thing that worked was getting my cp software updated and not using cp schedule at all (which isn't the end of the world).

Since 2.6. not in the release notes but it was mentioned in the forums and I tried the other night and was surprised it worked. Let me know if it works for you!

Ok I'll give it a shot next week. I thought my car was delivered with 2.6.0 which gave me all sorts of issues with any schedule on the CP. Once I turned off the CP schedule and used only the car schedule, everything was great.

I've only charged once since 2.6 update. I'll also update if it works for me again.

It worked! Thanks all.
Curious to hear from @pyle112 about confirming scheduling w/ CP.
