Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

I just wish I could keep it visible all the time, not only when Dream Drive is active.
100%! (My Tesla has this and it's very convenient) Hopefully they can put it in a future update.

I'm going to laud the auto high beams. They perform so, so accurately and well. I don't know if this is "standard" on cars these days, but if it is, I haven't experienced it. They very intelligently and instantly flick up and down depending on whether or not there is incoming traffic or cars in front of me. I'm amazed by the speed and accuracy of the performance.

My 8-year-old Tesla, by comparison, is "gun shy." It flips to low beams all the time, often responding to strange inputs like house lights or things I don't even see, and then doesn't want to flip back up long after the road around me is completely dark.

This is a feature I didn't even expect to comment on, but I have just been wowed by its performance.

Yeah that and the headlights are outstanding. And I’ve gotta admit I very much like the serenity modes. It’s kind of a nice thing to do, as driving can be stressful x and most of the time we’re driving to work (stress) or home (worn out from stress) so when I have time I’ve actually taken to sitting there for a moment to gather myself with the serenity modes. It’s especially immersive with the dynamic lighting. It’s something I would never had wanted in a car but am very glad I have this.

New one today (I think)…really love the enormous storage under both the sliding tray of center console (need bento boxes!!) AND the glove compartment. The latter is downright cavernous. Plenty of storage - which is always a good thing!

A cruise control feature: if you do a long press on the top or bottom of the left capacitive pad instead of a short tap it adds +/-5 mph instead of +/-1 mph to the set speed.

I think that's around for most modern cars now. at least the last few years, all cars I have does this. if you hold speed adjustments for cruise control, they snap into +/- 5mph increments. very convenient.

Totally random one today. The four metal (I believe) tie downs for cargo in the trunk are a good feature. I highly doubt I will ever use them as I’ve never used the ones on our R1S that look like they could be used for repelling points.

But, as we enter the holiday season, I am sure some folks will have good use for them and it’s a thoughtful design piece. My hope is it helps folks avoid the Christmas Vacation look. 🤣

I like how when you have adaptive cruise control active and it's showing the lane visualization and cars around you that it has a very clear blind spot indicator that appears at the appropriate back corner of the mini Gravity. I just wish I could keep it visible all the time, not only when Dream Drive is active.
I've been meaning to ask about this... There is no way to have the rendering of the traffic around the car on all the time in the cockpit screen without engaging DD?
I've gotten very much used to that from so many years of Tesla driving...

Not yet. Lots of folks have asked about it and it’s clearly possible given the Gravity graphics while DD is engaged. The Air does it at times even when DD isn’t active, so I expect they’ll bring it to Gravity. There’s SO much space there on the glass cockpit, but I think they’re whacking bugs and implementing more impactful features if/when they can.

100% agree on this. Hopefully additional videos will be forthcoming! So relaxing when I'm waiting to pick up my kids from their various activities. I also really like that DD works on almost all roads, whereas my Air is very much geofenced to major highways.

Also, while I thought it was gimmicky at first, my wife and I really like the frunk seat. She's looking for more places to go to enjoy it!

Separately, drove about 100 miles today averaging 75 or so mph, and got 3 mi/kwh, which I found fantastic versus the 3.6 EPA rating. If i had been driving 55-60 mph, the EPA efficiency would have been no issue.

Oh ceramic is only for all the wheels & glass (window shield, roof, driver & passenger windows, etc...)
PPF is xPEL satin matte, so no need to ceramic
My installer only offer Huper Optik, I will have to find another installer for Spectra Photosync
Ceramic coating is for the hydrophobic properties. One should *indeed* get a ceramic coating on top of their PPF.

That works similar to how my iX does, so that'll be an easy adjustment.

I agree, the serenity modes are actually a lot cooler than I thought they would be. I thought they were a silly gimmick when they first showed them off but in reality I have enjoyed using them a few times now. I hope they will add more over time. Actually it could be cool for them to find a way to open source it a little and allow the community to create content for the serenity modes.

My only gripe is that it didn’t work right yesterday when I was trying to show it off for a friend 🤦🏻‍♂️

Easy one today - and it’s not super unique, but very helpful and thoughtful.

Headrest drop for third row seats from pilot panel up front. As someone who uses third row a bunch, this is incredibly useful.

Mine today : Massaging and Heated Seats... and a Heated Steering Wheel.
Felt toasty driving down the highway....
It seems the massaging seats only run about 20 minutes or so. Then when I try and turn on again they run a few seconds and stop. I have to manually turn off, wait a minute, and then turn on again. Anyone else run into this?

This is again one of those things that's hard for me to replicate - I typically do 45-50 minute drives and the massaging lasts throughout the drive.

Weird. I mean I have other issues / bugs features but not this one in particular.

TBH, I have driven a couple of hundred miles after the FDU replacement and it is a completely different (much nicer) vehicle. It is just SO smooth... like butter.
No fob issues (though a nagging keycard issue), great charging, no high speed noise.

just a pleasure to drive ... everything has come together all of a sudden.

Yes. In the Air, there’s actually a 20 minute countdown. Some Gravity folks say they have no issue, but others report what you’re seeing (like me). There’s some discussion in the bug thread.
