Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

Today is Surround Sound Pro. I know not all have it, but still a great feature/option.

Whether you like the Doors, Beatles, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift or Florida Georgia Line - Dolby Atmos is mind blowing!!!

Even without Tidal, the bass is ideal and all the various levels are great.

Yes, I know purists want 22 equalizers and more custom controls - I am amazed with the three equalizers and general settings. Just awesome.

Hmmm, yeah, we should keep this thread going.

Another neat, perhaps non-obvious little feature, is that you can drag the 360° camera view around the car. The camera app renders your car in 3D, and you can spin around the view to get essentially a sphere of the environment around the Gravity stitched together from all its cameras. Granted, due to the skewed camera angles and the need to make the 360° view useful for parking, the 3D view is completely non-proportional and renders the Gravity like ½ its real size.

Still real fun to show to people who aren't expecting it, though.

Viewing a new Notch EV video today, I learned a capability with the steering wheel controls that I wasn't aware of before.
Swiping left or right on the left steering wheel control takes you through the views of the left Clearview Cockpit screen (zen mode, tire pressure info. etc.).
Swiping up or down on the right steering wheel control moves you through the right Clearview Cockpit screen (home, navigation, media, or phone).

This capability enables me to touch the Clearview Cockpit screen less, resulting in fewer finger prints/smudges.

See the 2:07 and 7:10 marks of the video below.

Really enjoying the new "back screen" edition of Sanctuary Mode. You know, the one where you get into the car, need to be somewhere and you're forced into a moment of Zen before you're allowed to drive the car or see anything on the screens 😂

We’ve had three X’s with the feature and none noticeably work. For Gravity, there are three levels, so may want to make sure you’re on highest to check it.
Aren't the Lucid Ventilation seats actually suction ones? I barely notice the Air's are on, I can hear them if I turn off everything else, and you don't feel the wind, but you will feel extra heat if you turn them off...

I will do the TP test tomorrow and we shall see. Whatever it is, my butt and back feel the chill and I like it.

Okay, a hardware favorite feature: I like how flexible the center console storage is, both the cavernous bottom compartment and the sliding plastic insert with the coin collector + cupholders + chargers. Yeah, the Edmunds video review called it cheap-feeling and I guess you can put smoother rails on it, but it stays in place once you set its position and it lets me either grab coins, buttress a tall cup against the end of the console (otherwise I'm afraid it tips over on sharp turns or hard braking), or move the phones up all the way so they're easier to glance at. Would still love to get some bento boxes, though.

So, where exactly are you using those coins? :)
Opening the fob battery cover?
Just curious.

No joke, the thing I've found works really well to open the keyfob cover is one of those medallions that you make from flattening a penny at tourist spots—thin and wide enough to pop it right open.

But yeah, there's still a couple of downtowns in the Bay Area suburbs that take coins, something like a dime for 6 min. so I still end up reusing my spare change to make quick runs to the coffee shop/Apple store.

Favorite Gravity feature of the day was CCS charging adapter. I shared a Chargepoint 320kw with a Rivian and was still getting 100kw at 80% and he was getting 60 at 75%. The CCS to NACS adapter for Gravity worked better than native CCS plug to the Air, it initiated charging faster and was a breeze to connect and release.

Favorite feature today - top end acceleration!

Needed to blow by someone on highway and I was already going 70. I think I got to 85 in the blink of an eye, literally. My X and R1S would move, but not like that.

Do I expect to use that all the time? No. Is it amazing how fast it can accelerate even at the top end? Absolutely.

Giddy up!!!!

This 👆. I also love the car’s ability to accelerate when already at high speed. Makes highway driving such a joy. To have this sports car-like performance in a 3 row SUV still blows my mind every time I drive it.

The Air are suction and the Gravity blow air.

Can you give us a definitive answer on this now?

Today’s is simple and a bit hidden, but great for me.

Love that I can heat ONLY the back of my seat and not always the butt and back together. My SA showed me this at delivery and it’s great. Love having my massage on with just back heat.

For those who don’t know how, if you go to the massage menu screen, once you have your seat heater on, you can tap the seat on the screen and the butt heater will go off but the back will stay on. Takes a second and it’s sensitive to where you touch, but it works and it’s awesome. I expect you could turn off back and keep butt on, but haven’t tried. Also don’t think it works for ventilation. Still great.

"She's gone from suck to blow!"

Now I want to rewatch Spaceballs.
