Fans running?

New owner here: Fans running on wake up. My questions is why, or is this expected behavior?

Still familiarizing myself with the Gravity which I really love so far. But some fan turns on (under/rear) of the car most times on wake up. Anyone know why or if I can change this? Seems like an unneeded power drain. I scheduled first charge last night which worked as expected. But when I went out to check it this morning, as soon as I woke the car with the card key, these noisy fans started running. They seem to run for a few minutes, even after I locked the car and walked away. It's not A/C, it's in the low 50sF this morning at my house. I did update to the 3.3.9 software on bring home and I wonder if there is just a setting I should change? Anyone else's Gravity do this? thanks

I think that might be the "Arctic Blast" bug that runs the climate fans at max speed before warm air is available. You can mitigate or avoid this by turning on the climate system via the app before you get in the car, enabling the climate "Keep" mode if you're going to be away from the car for a short time, or quickly increasing the cabin temp until the fans calm down and/or blow warm air.

New owner here too, same experience. Parked overnight outside in the 50s, fans inside and out started running upon wake up (was just rummaging in the trunk and never pressed the brake pedal). We are probably hearing the heat pump - I noticed the cabin began to warm up after a few minutes, which I appreciated. I suspect the main benefit is bringing the battery/coolant up to temp for optimal battery performance during driving.

Yeah, thanks both for the insight, makes sense. I was playing with the cabin preheating, so maybe that has something to do with it.
